AN OPEN LETTER TO THE GOOD PEOPLE AT MONSANTO CORPORATION
Leslie Visits BIO as a member of the Press, June 2008. The theme of the Annual meeting was Heal. Fuel. Feed the World. I enjoyed the BIO gathering very much and went out the Monsanto Booth. The closest I came was a business card at a booth from a school in Saint Louis. I found organic Celantro seeds there and made a friend. In the pot is Keep The Beet Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant. She made a number of friends.
I have seen your faces up close.
I have eating food with you.
I have had you in my garden.
I have listened to your ideas.
I have watched the your influence in the world.
I have watched the impact you have on Genius Children.
I have heard your teachings.
I have photographed your giants;
I know many of them mean well.
I have read your books.
I have seen the brilliance of your Marketing.
I acknowledge your good will where it is intended.
I acknowledge your misteps, be they planned or unintentional.
I have seen and heard what Nature says about you.
She will not have you here doing what you are doing.
You cannot have our Sacred Seeds.
You cannot have the future of our food as you see it.
I wish you well.
Come to The Golden State and spend every dollar you have.
Borrow all you can borrow and spend it here.
You cannot win here.
Californians has a RIght to Know what is in our foods.
so we can choose what you have placed on our table.
We will Label GMO Foods Here, one way or another.
Uncle Sam is rising up to free himself from Congress not hearing
as yet the Beat of Nature.
I send you Prayer.
I send you the love that mother's have for future generations
and ask you to join us now in its safekeeping.
The Headlines of the future shall Read:
Uncle Sam Marries "Anti" GMO.
I invite you personally to the Encgagement Party,
September 11, 12 & 13 in Santa Rosa.
Join me and hear what Luther Burbank, and those who would Keep The Dream Alive for our future, have to say.
it is time for GMO Lovers and Organic Lovers to talk.
In due respect, I come to you willing to enter
an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food.
I will see you at the AAAS* and my topic will be
Why Organic?
I remain
Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie
*This is the venue where I met the esteemed father of
Round Up Ready Technology a number of years back.
We planted Seeds in a pot to lessen the tension between GMO Lovers and Organic Lovers. I asked him to sign me a note on Monsanto Literature.
" Leslie, Let's Close the Gap!" he wrote, Robert. I wish him well and all who work for Monsanto.
NOTE: I intend to read this onstage on day at the AAAS, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in a workshop called
"Go Organic!"
I intend to read this on the Caravan to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds,
September 1-10, 2012.
I intend to read this a number of times at the National Heirloom Expo,
September 11, 12 & 13, 2012 in Santa Rosa, California.
BIO PHOTOS 2008
There is a strong support system set up within our high schools to teach our genius youth the fundamentals of Gene -DNA research. We are starting young to help the next generation get a foothold on the ropes of Biotechnology. I would like to see an equal partnership between those who are Organic Lovers also working in close contact with our genius youth. There are many jobs that need doing on the local farm for youth who would like to experience how nature has worked for 8000 years, and will be working for the next 8000 years on planet earth. Our future will have little to do with BIotechnology in the field of agriculture. That simple does not work. We already have a perfect technology for our planet that comes when we regain our beat with nature. Growing a beet--an organic beet in a pot--helps to get our beat back. I highly recommend "Mendel in the Classroom, by AAAS president Nina Federoff to understand the BIO point of view. "Empty Harvest, by Dr. Bernard Jensen and Mark P Anderson is a good book for understanding what nature and her plants have in mind. for our future. "Nature knows best," Dr. Bernard Jensen said. --Leslie
Working Mom--Then Sec of Education Margaret Spellings--was the Keynote Speaker at One BIO Gathering
More than 1200 science High School Teachers and their top students were at the event. It was an eye opener. The US government is banking on BIO technology to pave the way to our future. I am investing in the Bank of Compost. Millions more gardeners and local organic + new farmers are needed to help us evolve out of our current Food Emergency. Biodiverse heirloom seeds are the key to plant Your Dream.--Leslie
Yesterday as I was heading to the North Park Farmers' Market, I saw a sign on the freeway that said child abduction. I could not help but hear Keep the Beet speaking, She said, "Your Seeds have been adducted." Heirloom seeds are needed to Plant Your Dream!" No other seed standard can bring us in 1000 years of peace that is intended for this time in human evolution. I want to thank my allies in BIO tech agriculture for paving the way for the 1000 years of peace. Most of us only learn through through breakdown, but nature teaches that breakdown leads to breakthrough. This is the year for that breakthrough as we win back our Sacred Seeds, not in jeopardy. This will turn around in the next six months as more and more peopel have their eyes opened to the California RIght to Know Label GMO Foods opportunity.
My goal is to inspire 7.5 million +2 Californias to sign the petition now on Change.org. Only through each of us taking leadership of our own seeds now will we shift the consciousness.
Near 1 million signed to help us get on the ballot November 6. My sense is that right now, there are not 7.5 million +2 in California who have heard about GMOs. The US Government has done an excellent job, in tandem with BIO tech to keep most people in the dark.
I am not sure if people already eating BIOtech inspired substances that are called food have it in them to recognize that another alternative will improve their ability to live a healthier life; but we can begin now through the movement to Grow a Healthier Pizza.
Most of us have bought into another system of thinking that what we eat is just fine. Few people today in the US know what food is about. Food in intended to help Plant Your Dream. Food is here to help you take your Seed off the shelf.
Gratefully, I do not believe there is a shortage now of people who will form the new ground.
I hear giants of the natual healing arts public servants of ages past speaking to me now saying "Keep The Dream Alive!"

GROW A HEALTHIER PIZZA!" WORKSHOP @ THE NATIONAL HEIRLOOM EXPO, SEPTEMBER 11,12, 13
I am setting out in 2012 to inspire thousands of new gardeners. I set this intention when I spoke at Organic Listening Day at the USDA in Washington September 20, 2011, and volunteered to be the Enchanted Gardener for the People's Garden Initiative. The beginning: We can each grow some of our own food in containers and get our beat back with nature. I travel with a silver box that contains the deepest dreams of humanity, and a pot where you are invited to Plant Your Dream. I hand out seeds to others as well and encourage their planting. We have reached a tipping point of consumer initiative thanks to so many divergent voices coming together. A literal grassroots movement of gardeners will inspire the White House, Congress, and its Federal agencies to come to terms with Real Food Safety; this includes GMO proliferation. Our Food Emergency is my pressing issue of the 2012 campaign. As a consumer movement, the Right to Know Initiative reached near 1,000,000 signers in early May to get on the California Ballot. Now we are taking the next step at the ballot box this November. Washington is in the farm bed with Biotech Agriculture. Thousands more small gardeners are needed, and a new generation of organic farmers. We will ignite a movement of 10 million strong or more leading to 'Uncle Sam Marries "Anti" GMO.' "Grow a Healthier Pizza" is my contribution toward this victory through blogging, educating and planting strong intentions.
CARAVAN TO THE NATIONAL HEIRLOOM EXPOSITION SEPTEMBER 11,12,13, 2012
I will caravan to the National Heirloom Expo, September 11,12,13 in Santa Rosa, CA. This event falls less than two months before the election and features some of our big anti GMO hitters, including Jeffrey Smith and Vandana Shiva. This Expo is a rally point for winning the campaign to Label GMOs in California.
