Greetings,
If you were on the webinar last night you heard all the wonderful news. We have exceeded our 850,000 goal - we'll have the exact number next week. The petitions will be turned in next Wednesday. The events are listed below. If you are able, please attend!
Starting later in May we can set up some meetings to discuss next steps. I'll be planning one in North County at Jimbos Carlsbad, (probably our usual Sat 10 am) - If someone would like to plan some meetings in San Diego or other sections of town, please let me know. There will be some statewide speaker tours, including Jeffrey Smith and we will have some films to show as well. It's time to start to brainstorm on how to educate everyone before the election.
We'll get official word back from the state in late June and should have our Prop number in July.

Join us on May 2 to Celebrate our Success!
Rally and march May 2 to celebrate turning in nearly a million signatures to put the California Right to Know GMO labeling initiative on the ballot! Kids, babies, baby carriages encouraged – we'll be wheeling in petitions in carriages to represent the importance of this issue to children and future generations.
Please arrive at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 2 with signs, baby strollers, and balloons encouraged too. We will rally and march to deliver petitions at 11 am.
There will be a San Diego event, 10am Wednesday May 2nd. San Diego – Meet at Board of Elections office at 5201 Ruffin Road, San Diego. Speakers include Lisa Bronner and local volunteers. Contact: Adam Eidinger at adam@mintwood.com
San Francisco – Meet in front of San Francisco City Hall on Dr. Carlton B. Goodlet Place, near Civic Center BART. Speakers include Pamm Larry from Label GMOs, Right to Know campaigners, and supporters of the GMO labeling initiative.

NOTE about visuals: We want to make a strong show of celebration -- signs, balloons, carriages and/or strollers or red wagons to wheel in petitions will be ideal. In San Francisco and Sacramento there will be 2-4 petition boxes to wheel in (they are 35 pounds each), but LA has up to 20 boxes and needs lots of strollers! Get out those jogging strollers!
