Day 01- Water Fast
DAY 1-
Starting Weight: 60.5kg (I am normally 56 kgs but I have been eating fatty food and not exercising for the winter months)
Today’s Weight: 59kg (lost 1.5 kgs, its all water weight I guess.)
Date: 3/14/2012 3:04:37 AM ( 12 y ) ... viewed 1662 times If you’re interested in fasting of any sort, do spend some time to read up as preparation, Based on research and reports, the first 3 days will be the toughest due to the hunger. Its more habitual than anything else.
I ate so much last night and the last few days preparing for a fast. I was scared that the urge to suddenly taste chocolate or a fudge sundae was too much. The best way is to drink regularly throughout the day before any hunger pangs kick in.
If ypu manage to get past the first 3 days, it should be easier as the hunger disappears, your body gets into sleep mode. The body shifts to burning fat reserves for energy. The body will feel weaker during this stage since it’s trying to conserve energy and metabolism slows down. As I luckily work from home, I can take things easier, I do have to run errands etc so that wont stop.
DAY 1-

Water: 1.8 liters, spread throughout the day + two mugs of green tea. I dont know if this is allowed, I drank green tea to taste something on my tongue. Its calorie less SO HOPEFULLY ITS OKAY.
Breathing-Fine, same as pre fast.
Today was better than I thought it would be. The times I have attempted the fast without finishing day one are 100000000++. So pleasant surprise I managed doing one day today. I did not feel hungry throughout the day, as I was running errands all day long, so it was really easy to go through the day without food. Keeping busy is the keyword.
I even danced a little in the morning on a few songs, spent the day all day at the market running errands.
UPDATE-
I did read that water fasting should be a time of relaxation, social engagements and physical activity should be pushed to the next week. Esp if you are attempting a longer than 3 days fast so I will be resting more from Day 02. My body feels weaker on day 02, not cant-get-out-of-bed weak, just slower.
I am counting one day as 24 hours not 12 hours so my posts are about the changes in my body every 24 hours. The first day however is posted after 36 hours. (Explains the 1.5 kgs weight loss)
