This morning begins the Bright Green Future Conference. I went to bed last night thinking I might not be able to go, even though I am signed up to take some photos.
One of my allies at the North Park Farmers' Market yesterday said, "You are not your self!" I wasn't.
There was a yellow light that would not turn off in the EG Mobile on the way to the Farmers' Market, and then on the way home, on the freeway, at one point, I felt I was losing power. I made it home up a hill.
WED OCTOBER 19, 2011
Thursday, October 19, 2011 was a breakthrough day, but at great cost. It was the last day of the the time that Jewish people are asked to eat outdoors in a hut. The Holiday, that follows Sukkot, has a special name. Shimi Atzeret.
I MET WITH SYLVIA HERE
Thursday, October 20, I met with Sylvia here for the first time. Sylvia works for the Fire Prevention Bureau of the City of San Diego. Mark and Lucia, a couple who own the land bordering our on the canyon, also came over. I was unclear before Thursday that they own the area where we now have an organic garden. It was also clear we have their permission to garden there.
It was very good meeting with Sylvia and Mark, but I have been attempting to do so much on so many burners, that I had to take a break toward the evening. I went over to Aura and Yehuda's place, and had a lovely meal. It was a moment out of time. I was happy to forget the day and the future for a few hours.
YESTERDAY MORNING
Then, yesterday morning, I started to write a couple blogs that both did not fit. The first was affected by last night's Simcha Torah celebration. I intended to go to the Elijah Minyan in North County.
Yesterday afternoon, Thursday, I had the shock of finally slowing down enough to start to put some of the business cards in plastic holders from my trip. It has taken me all these days to do that. I realized I did not have the card from one of my lead potential new sponsors. Shock #2.
Many of the phone numbers and cards were beginning to feel stale. After my eleven East Coast Tour, I went on to ten days in Los Angeles for the Days of Awe. This was a financial error, from one point of view. Each of these contacts needed personal attention, and Blogging if I was going to reap the harvest of my extraordinary trip.
At that point, I really needed to pull out my set of Flourish Remedies and start spraying myself. I did not do that. I needed Five Flower Formula, the rescue Remedy set. I also needed Post Trauma Stabilizer.
SHOCK #3
I could not find the Business Card.
Slow it down.... I slowed it down. I went through the Iphoto Library from my trip. When I am in good shape, I will take photos of the important business cards to back myself up. There! There it was! I did have his business card. I called the phone number. It was the wrong number on his card! ...but he was able to give me the correct phone. An operator was able to get me his voice mail. I left a message.
