I am running out of time.
I wrote this to mail to Victory Gardens but I did not send it out.
Worked on another Blog a lot today,
and did not get a complete.

I am leaving for a ten day trip to the East Coast September 15-25, and then three days in LA over the Jewish New Year
September 28-30. I want to demonstrate and make a video showing the progress that we will make on a large stand of
Arundo Donax i.e. Bamboo Like Cane. It will take an estimated 200 man-woman hours to get through this one large stand.
The Miramar Greenery said that Arundo Donax was trash and would not take it. The Fire Prevention Bureau, who is wanting us to clear this, also said it was trash. Their procedure is to use Round Up to kill the roots. I want to demonstrate that with many hands working together we can manage this as a crop.
I am exploring and researching the many used of this.
I wanted to show improvement to the Fire Prevention Bureau before I leave for the East Coast this Thursday and we just
finished a major four day cleanup. We were able to shred hundreds of pounds of materials including the Arundo. We proved it could be done. Here are some videos.
The ultimate goal will be to work with neighbors to create an Friends of the Arosa Canyon Group.
Today I had one young mom and three kids come over to cut some of the reed like stacks to use for
kid art projects. I am sure there are many other uses we can demonstrate as well as natural removing without the Round Up that is increasing being seen as dangerous for many reasons.

Our goal here will be to manage this crop, and make sure
it has no potential fire hazard concern.
At the earliest possible time, I will start to outreach to neighbors who are also needing
to work toward the cleanup on their properties.
At the same time, I am looking forward to working along side the Fire Prevention Bureau
at a time of great shifs toward more sustainable living and downplaying the use of
Glysophate products, primarily Round Up.
We are aiming to demonstrate here how it can be removed naturally.
• Practice nontoxic weed control at home. Instead of reaching for Roundup
or other lawn chemicals to kill weeds, try organic-approved BurnOut—
its main ingredients are clove oil and food-grade vinegar. And start setting your mower deck to at least 3 inches. The longer grass length discourages weed growth.
