It was Jewish Sadie Hawkins Day, Tu'B AV in San Diego. Eyes of all the Angels were poised to bring blessing on Earth and shower us with Abundance! "Oh If only My Moutn were as full of Song as the sea!!!!" Ilu-Finu!, the song says.
On the scene is Sharon Alexander, creator of Jospel- and esteemed Ethnomusicolgist from the University of Berne, Switzerland, and her daughter, 15-year old Illiana, Jospel's leading songstress! What a night, and did we have fun launching a New Sacred Food Project for Jewish people everywhere and all of our interfaith allies. Together, we helped seed 1000 years of Peaceduring the fated time of August 13-Aug. 18
Special Blessings on all working to end hungry in San Diego; to Rabbi Eliyahu Mclean and his Miseast Peace work; to Rabbi Miriam Margles and Kol Rina Choir, author of "Ilu Finu", doing similar work; and to the Shir HaYam, song of the sea Chavurah of San Diego for co-sponsoring this timely workshop that was pulled off in less in less than six weeks between the end of the international ALEPH KALLAH 2011, June 3 and Tu'B AV August 14, 2011.

A Shir Ecstasy Organic Moment
My First Organic Movement
occurred many years ago.
Now, as your Enchanted Gardener,
I am here to create Organic Moments--
Organic Uprisings--in the lives of each
and every person I meet.
My latest sharing took place
The eve of August 14, 2011 called the Happiest
day in the Jewish Tradition, a holiday
called Tu'B Av, a kinda of Sadie Hawkins Day.
that is noted as a moment of fertility
when all nature is singing luscious praise.
The participants, about 30 of us,
had a group community building experience
in downtown San Diego, at a place called the
Prosperity Hive.
The event, a three hour experience of singing
Jospel--Jewish Gospel Songs--was made possible
through the presence of Sharon Alexander, the creator
of Jospel, and her daughter Illiana Dreyfus, a great song leader.
A cornucopia of abundant local organic foods
was made possible through contributions from
my local organic farmers' market friends.
15 year old Illiana and her mom Sharon at a ball
as they experiences the generosity and love
of our local farmers at the HIllcrest Farmers Market.
The event also launched a very auspicious New Sacred Foods
Project. It is my feeling through the joy we shared,
the world during this very special time,
that the World may never be the same.

RELATED
ONE ORGANIC MOMENT
AN ALEPH KALLAH JOURNEY
My own Organic Moment began
at a cemetary in the year of 1960.
I was 12-years old, hardly a man
in my own Jewish tradition.
My mother was being laid to rest in a grave.
She never knew why. She was one of the early ones
in my generation to develop cancer before the
epidemic began that I trace to having lost our beat with nature
and the understanding that God made
Sacred Foods that you might Plant Your Dream.
My mother died when I was 12.
My Aunt Rita, who came down
with Cancer about five years later,
went to Mexico, got alternative healing treatments,
and was saved. She lived into her
90's. I was marked by the episode.
It was Aunt Rita, in the summer
of 1972, when I was struggling with
arthritis and just out of college,
who paved my way out of the city
into the backwoods of Escondido.
One phone call was all it took.
Hours later we were sitting in
the home of Dr. Bernard Jensen
on his day off.
The nature boy and organic hero
welcomed me into a new lifestyle.
That was in essence my organic moment.
51 YEARS LATER
There is a gathering going on,
as I write these words, 51 years later,
it is a gathering of Tribes of all religions
coming to respect each other.
It is an gathering of breasts beaten down
and bodies forlorn, raw goat's milk being split
down drains in Venice Beach and our FDA
beating drums letting us know they are here
to save us from ourselves.
It is truly for all of us now an organic moment
when we are called to feel God in our bodies.
Babies want to be born to suckle in a Holy World
and are demanding an Organic Uprising.
Children yet conceived:
They are demanding
weseize this moment and come back to our
senses.
The playground for this Organic Uprising
is our Farmers's Markets, and on University
Campuses where students
in their teens are creating
farms and gardens and food grown organically.
It is happening on our White House Lawn
and on the grounds of our US Department of
Agriculture in Washington where organic beets
are being planted and where our beat with nature is being restored.
"Know your Farmer. Know Your Food,"
our very own Secretary of Agriculture speaks
with the left hand, while with the other hand,
he becomes the vehicle for giving free reign to the destruction
of the organic lifestyle itself.
Alfalfa, grown organically,
beets grown without the invasion of science practices
that genetically modify our foods.
This is the playing field.
This is the cry.
Leaving it to people who do not know any better,
and we will have more and more pockets
filled with all our money,
while fewer and fewer of us
thriving.
We now have the power in our minds
to make real estate of our genes
in the realm of agriculture,
but we do not have the right.
all nature sings this out.

AS THE SEA, SAY THE PSALMS
"If only my mouth were as full of song
as the sea," says the Psalms.
Today, as I write,
we live in a world of conflict
between Rabbis and Prophets
the one imagining that it is O.K. to
let them our congregants eat cake; the other hearing
the call
to raise up, tear down, and to plant.
And so we come to a wedding moment,
The moment of the dance and the song,
Shir--song Ecstasy is called out from each of us.
People are being forces to look deeply into themselves
and allow their pain to be heard, seen, and felt.
A Shift has happened and we can only deny it
so long.
We are each seeds on shelf in packages.
The world may be hungry and standing in line
for a good meal, but it can no longer wait.
The moment is here.
It is time, for the sake of our children
for our children
to stand up. because we are called
to Move Organic Forward.
There was once a prophet called Job.
He was here since the Foundation.
He lost everything.
We as a people are on the verge of losing
everything, yet we will not allow this.
Now is the moment of Job's Return.
Now is the moment of harmony
and convergence coming into our world
as we as a nation return to America The Beautiful
to see again Science, and Ethics, and Food
as one.
We will each sing our song
of life because we have no other choice.

ACT TWO
On my own personal journey of Job's Return,
I was called up to be among those calling
out for a New Sacred Foods Project.
There was a gathering in So Cal at
the University of Redlands
called the ALEPH Kallah.
It happened in early June 2011.
I did not want to go, but I went
because I wanted to bring an organic moment
to the Tribe of my birth.
I went, and I was healed.
There were thousands of stories
there, Mine was just one.
I tell that story in a video
called ALEPH KALLAH, JOB'S RETURN.
At that fated gathering, there was
a woman from Switzerland. She was
here to add to the peace between Jews and Christians
and people of all faith.
Her name was Sharon Alexander.
Her medium was song, and she came to
bring into the world what she called Shir Ecstasy.
At the ALEPH Kallah gatherings, she made her mark.
When I caught up with her it was 2011.
She had created Jospel, as she called them, Jewish
Gospel Choirs, at three previous international
Alliance for Jewish Renewal Gatherings.
By 2011, she was a headliner, the Closer Ceremony
highlight.
She had a teen daughter who drew in me
in the midst of my own pain and discomfort.
I saw her dance and sing.
Little did I know. Illiana was the daughter
to Sharon.
I had met Sharon many years before.
She had been my ally at a time when I felt
few allies, and felt myself an outsider
that did not belong.
She was here from Switzerland.
She was staying in L.A County and wanted
to come to San Diego to do a workshop.
No one would say yes to her in our community.
Everyone had their own agenda and was too busy.
I was too busy too, but said yes.

This was one of the songs that will appear in
the new video I am making.

ACT THREE
August 14, 2011
was the fated evening.
In my own philosophy of life,
it was during Mercury Retrograde,
a time when if any kind of communication
can go backward, it will. It was also
the evening of Jewish Sadie Hawkins Day,
when women truly sing their song,
and so do men seeking their mates.
It was also a time of a Great Wedding in our
City, and a Great Rabbi I admire
was the Master of Ceremonies.
All these things came to pass,
and I saw them all in my personal History of Peace
on Earth.

MORE ON THE EVENING OF

Act Four of this story
involves a 49 day journey
between August 13 and the
Jewish New Year.
I live with eight others on a piece
of land named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
I see this land becoming a park for our community
of San Diego for future generations,
but this land be procured.
Right now it is a house that rents rooms
to kind heart people who aspire to learn to
live together.
Between August 17 and September 16,
the date when I may leave for Baltimore and Washington,
much cleanup needs to happen here
in my own life, and in the life of our land.
We will have a gathering the last Sunday
of the month. 12 are invited.
The date is August 31, 2011
ACT FIVE
This is my ally Walt Robb, Co-CEO of Walt Robb.
I came to begin to know Walt through another lifelong
friend, Michael Besancon, who was my original Avocado
Sandwich maker.
Here is a picture of Michael when I saw him last.
When I first met him, he was a hippie and ran
a place called Follow Your Heart. Be it known,
It was Michael Besancon, who awakened me to my
life's spiritual path when he introduced me to a book
called " The Essene Gospel of Peace"
written from information by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely.
Act Five of this story occurs in a different city,
it is the city of Baltimore.
I will be there September 20, 2011

1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce. To continue to produce
short video's about foods and shoppers at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
To continue to educate shoppers about the use of foods sold by local organic farmers.
1A -To See and Seed the success of the New Roots Community
International Rescue Committee Farm. To help in all ways possible
to tell the story and stand with these farmers and local IRC garden
products, including the Aquaponics Center.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and those who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature. Through learning to live together cooperatively as a household we seek to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet.
Spring 2011 Outreach:
Through growing a simple beet in a pot,
and grow organic alfalfa in pots, we can regain our beat with nature.
Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent rooms. The land, as of June 2011 has a need to be refinanced. b A Trust to hold the land is one idea that has been suggested. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living. This experiment in cooperative living has been going on since the early 1970′s. What we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now. The focus summer 2011 is to create more infra-structure and prepare to be a local community resource through these
Shifting times. We need to begin with ourselves, and here in our backyard.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
5- To accept the mandate, that in San Diego we can model a city
growing its own food. To do all we can in our own backyard to
further this Seed Dream. To work with other groups through outreach,
and create events where the community can join in our extended
community here.
