I started this Plant Your Dream Blog
yesterday, July 9, on Shabbat.
I was feeling disconnected and sad when
I stooped to write.
This morning, as I get ready to go to
the Hillcrest Farmers' Market,
a lot of threads are coming together.
I am a morning person.
The Joshua Tree Remedy wants to remind
me of this pattern I want to remember
when I become sad.
HERE IS THE ART THAT GOES
WITH THE HALLOWING OF THIS PATTERN
MY STOMACH HURTS
AND MY SPIRIT IS DOWN
I have a photo of my mother holding
a little baby in her warm arms on my desk today.
The little baby is me. My mother
was the centerpiece of our Jewish home
when I was growing up, but she died
in 1960. I was 12 at the time.
That experience marked me
and pointed me in the direction
of wanted so very much Sacred Foods
for our world, and in particular our Jewish
world. In the Jewish world that I know,
I see I very high level of
ethics, and high sensitivity to justice causes,
but very little connection to the Food Justice
cause of making sure that we personally
have good food.
"Everybody deserves good food" was a
catch word phrase of our Cultivating Food Justice Event
April 9-10. I taught there.
How many of us make sure that we
get the food we deserve?
How many of us recognize that
food is intended to be Sacred,
that food is intended to connect
up to the Four Worlds of Creation,
from inner world to outer world?
THE FOUR WORLD MODEL
The Four World Model,
a Kabbalistic reference to creation,
is one that I have naturally adapted
to the Enchanted Garden Teachings.
I will explain this in further lessons
in the Sacred Foods Project.
TO CLARIFY
I want to clarify.
Food is sacred.
It is has Soul inspired purpose behnd it.
Food is here to help Plant Your Dream.
Most of us do not realize that we are
seriously lacking the micronutrients that
carry the electrical charges to translate the
and Soul inspired Bioterrain to Earth.
We are living in a mad, mad work here
on earth with no healthy relationship for the most part
to food.
This is one reason I say we need an
Organic Uprising, each of us Standing Up
for Nature's Original Technology.
We have strayed very far from
Nature's Original Technology.
We have strayed very far from each of us
living our lives as an Organic Uprising.

WHY SHOPPING THE FARMERS' MARKET
IS SO IMPORTANT
This is why I love the Farmers; Market so much.
I see and feel a life cycle that is extremely life given
and the closest connection I find to a connected
community.
I better go now.

LEAVING NOW TO SUPPORT A BENEFIT
There is a benefit at the Wild Willow Farm now
for Peace Pies, JP Alfred's company that has been shut down
since May due to a fire that happened nearby.
JP Alfred is an advocate of raw food and vegan living.
He is one of
one of our most consciously food
connected food preparers. I want to honor the gathering.
I will upload photos later from this gathering.
This is a teaching about support of our local community.

THE ALEPH KALLAH WAS SEVEN DAYS AGO
We are one week out form the ALEPH Kallah 2011.
I was seeing and seeding the regenerating of
a Sacred Food Project with ALEPH and for the Jewish People
as a whole.
I AM SAD

This morning, I sent to
Shir HaYam, our local San Diego Havurah.
Many of the people there attended
the ALEPH Kallah 2011.
I have been writing about this event all week
extensively.

David Rafsky is married to Rhonda Mason.
I met Rhonda in 1993 in Berkeley, CA
at my first ALEPH Kallah. She has been
my greatest witness of continuity locally
since that time.
This is a rare special gift.
Rhonda has wisdom filled eyes.
She sees the world.
Ofter when I look into her eyes,
I see something deeper looking out.
She is married to David Rafsky,
who is a member of the Board of ALEPH.
They generally go out to lunch after
the services we do at the First Universalist location
that we often use in San Diego.
I came into the services Saturday morning
early. This is the first time I have ever arrived early.
I began the day prepping and organizing my notebooks
for the Kallah.
I did not have time to show the materials to anyone
at the Kallah. I barely made it through the Gate.
I spoke for the first time to the assistant Kallah organizer
Sheri Friday morning.
"From Yelling "Help!!" to Saying "Wow!!!" at the
Aleph Kallah 2011.
ASIDE
At the JP Alfred Peace Pies Gathering,
there were a number of local San Diego friends
who wanted to know how the ALEPH Kallah went.
Harmony said she heard about it at the last minute.
Her busband Brad Wolff said that he had a friend
in New York named Akiva the Believer.
Akiva the Believer was at the ALEPH Kallah.
His name came up twice yesterday.
David Rafsky mentioned that he had learned
some drum techniques from this master teacher
who is also a friend of Brad Wolff.
POINT
A number of local Jews I know,
who are connected in with Sacred Foods
are disconnected from the ALEPH Kallah.
This is interesting to note.
This is a bridge to be built.
UPCOMING EVENT
Sometime in August there will tentatively
be an opportunity for me to embroder these strands
together.
Wow!!!! There is an opportunity to help
co-create an event with Sharon Alexander Dreyfus,
who is one of the key ALEPH Kallah partiicipants
I met at this year's event. She was an ally from
the past Kallot for me.
This is significant of my Job Return Cycle.
I will write about that later.

FOLLOWING THE MORNING SERVICE
I wanted the companionship of David and Rhonda,
two of my allies in Jewish Renewal. About eight of us
eight at a lovely little food eating place off Alabama
street and El Cajon.
I have heard of this little food place.
It is called "Momma's"
They served the food in styrofoam.
The chicken I ate was very likely Factory Farmed.
I have not eaten at this level of disconnection in many, many months.
David was hurting from arthritis.
I have had my run with arthritis in my life,
in part due to not living an organic lifestyle
from top to bottom.

MY MOTHER
In conversations with R'Goldie this week
she has asked me twice my Jewish name.
You reference your hebrew name and the names
of your parents. My mother's name is Chana.
I believe that is my sister's hebrew name as well.
My mother, Ann, she died when I was 12.
I have written about that in
my autobiography called
"Rekindling of Faith."
My aunt Rita, my father Solomon's sister,
developed cancer as well in the throat five
years later. She discovered
alternative natural therapy and changed her diet.
She lived at least 50 more years.
I missed those years I did not have my mother.
That, in part is why I am doing what I am doing today
for Sacred Foods.
ASIDE
Weaving the Four World's together.
Wow!!! R'Goldie used the word
"Embroder" in her quote about
the Sacred Food Project.
It threw me off. Now I see.
This is a Kabbalistic reference,
a good word that I am seeing this morning
working through my mind.

the executive director of ALEPH. I met her through the work
she was doing years ago on the Sacred Foods Project through ALEPH.

THE FARM?
ARRIVING IN THE PROMISED LAND
I went with AriellaShira Lewis And Gloria Krasno
twp ALEPH Kallah veterans.
I heard upon arrival at the University of Redlands,
through talking to the staff in the kitchen how they supported
Organic food, a cornerstone of Sacred Foods.
They bought local organic foods
from farmers. They had a farm right off campus
where the students grew organic food that the kitchen would
buy. It took determination to find the Farm. For future reference,
This treasure called the University of Redlands Sustainability Farm (URSF)
is located behind the Brockton Avenue Apartments
at the back far end of a fenced gate
within view of the Soccer Field.
The Brochton Avenue Apartments are located at the corner
of Grove Street and Blockton Avenue north of the
soccer field (307) on this map.
Sunday morning, July 3, 2011.
It was difficult to find, but I persevered.
I went looking three times.
When I finally found it later in the day,
People on campus said the Gate would be locked,
but I found it open although no one was there
but we who entered.

ORGANIC OUTREACH TO THE UNIVERSITY
OF REDLANDS
Summary of work done thusfar.
Seed Dreams for this school as a model
for other Universities. Remarkable progress
toward Organic and Sacred Foods are being made
here!! They are to be congratulated!
My spirit is asking that I rejuvenate the Sacred Food Project
This was on my list of intentions when I attended the final
couple days of the Kallah.
I knew that to make progress I would have to step through
some Original Pain Work reflected in a handful of relationships
I left uncooked at the Kallah back in 1997.
At the Kallah I saw a new generation of youth
that need to be supported now.
I made some new allies.
I am willing to do the Soul Growth
that I might continue to serve my purpose.

I felt the presence of Rabbi Aryeh Hirshfield, the former rabbi of Portland with me during my journey
to the Kallah. I took his CD with me. He was one of my favorite
Jewish Renewal rabbis, and died in the Ocean in January 2009.
I have permission of Beth Hirshfield to use music of
