INTRO
I took about eight hours yesterday to
express some of my ideas about local and national issues
that have been on my mind in recent days
and recent months.
I begin here with events of the past weekend,
where I introduced local organic veggies into the
Hear and Now Convention. Thank you to local farmers
JR Organics, Suzie's Farm, and Sage Mountain for foods
that were displayed.
I go on to share ideas On The Pulse of what I have been
seeing on the national level, including my comments
on the recent attacks on the Organic Stakeholders
and its lead Organic Trade Association, and a few of
its board members.
What I wrote here needs editing. I hope I made
my points.
Last night I began to read some of the comments around
what I consider some more "Organic lifestyle" take down
attempts due to the unfortunate incidents and needless
harm that came to innocent lives in Germany surrounding
the recent virulent El Coli strains of bacteria that are
now resistant to most common antibiotics.
How these virulent strains came into being is conjecture,
but we need to find out. This demands a thorough investigation.
The main point: Through our use or abuse of high tech
and potentionally biotechnology we have created a world
where what was once part of the food chain, E. Coli, has become
our enemy.
There is a technology of the earth that fits our lives
and it is called Nature's Organic Technology. This technology
is one with us as human beings. It is expressed in our
relationship to the sun, air, water, earth (soil).
Most of us have lost our beat with nature and this technology
leaves us open to Wall Street Journal Video editorials
and articles as these:
HERE IS A RESPONSE FROM
THE ORGANIC TRADE ASSOCIATION
PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THAT
THE BASIC STAND OF THE FDA IS
The basic stand of the FDA is that
organic foods are no healthier than conventional foods.
The basic stand of the FDA is that
sprouts are bad.
The basic stand of the FDA is that
raw milk is bad.
The basic stand of the FDA is that
Irradiation, exposing foods to low levels
of radiation, is the way to control
e coli.
The basic stand of the FDA is to allow
a revolving door between Biotech and
Monstanto employees over the years.
