Hey folks,
I just wanted to followup from our meeting... Jenn was going to work on a "Save the Date" flyer for June 7th, yes? With some help I think. How's it coming? Either way, it would be really really great to have that ASAP. Is help needed?
I'm also mentioning this because... there's a grassroots gathering on Sat May 21st (a few days away!) to talk about Community Gardens policy with the public and we want to HANDOUT FLYERS!!... I'm not sure if any of you heard yet (Amy Lint was going to check with Anchi and KK), but the Cultivating Food Justice event planners had a meeting right after 1 in 10 and one of our CFJ followups is to gather on May 21st at the City Heights Farmers Market (I think from 11-12:30?). The group decided to talk at that event about Community Gardens policy, the current status, and how policy change happens locally. It's a great opportunity to inform and involve the public and spread the word about June 7th.
Sooo, if anyone is available and wants to help/speak this Sat 5/21, please contact Amy.Lint@rescue.org
If/when the flyers are ready, please send the pdf ASAP. Or if help is needed, let me know.
Also, if you're interested/able to help for the landfill gathering at City Council TOMORROW at 9am, please contact Norma Rodriguez nrodriguez@onlinecpi.org
Thanks!
Mariah
