1000 More Sam Murray's are Needed In San Diego.
Sam Murray 19-year old son of Scott and Laura Murray died.April 5.
His passionate intent was to help Gaia in her rebirth through
planting 1 million more trees.
He had many more ideas that will be a part of his legacy
carried on by Sam Murray's Future Farm Foundation.
The memorial service was held Saturday, April 23, 2011
at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living.

I heard the news at the San Diego Earth Fair
Sunday April 17
Sam Murray, 19-year old son of Scott A Murray, a long time ally
of the conservation, sustainability, and organic movement,
has lost his son. He died suddenly of an injury that turned
into a staph infection.
Sam picked good parents,
parents who possibly, with the help of our entire community,
can overcome the tremendous loss of their son.
Sam was not an average teen.
He was not like may teens.
He was a young man with a vision,
he wanted to save our earth, that many of us call "gaia."
His dream was to give her 1 million more trees.
Sam's passing comes at a time when we deeply need
the vision he had, and more to come alive.
This Blog is called Plant Your Dream.
I would like to see many of us plant the dream
of Sam Murray.
We need right now 1000 more Sam Murray's
in San Diego.

Here is the info I wrote for Sam...
Our son Sam passed away last Tuesday morning...
He had injured his back at work last Monday
and we did not know that a Staph infection
was attacking his immune system
at the injury until it was to late.
Laura and I are dedicating our efforts in Conservation
and our farming in Sam's memory....
STAND FOR SAM
The first project will be "Stand for Sam" to encourage
the planting of stands of trees,
teaching farming to young people,
teaching water harvesting,
and tree planting...
He was SO passionate about organic farming, his love for planting trees,
Slow Food, conservation, water harvesting and animals...
Sam had evolved into an amazing chef as well
and we think that encouraging teens to learn to cook is also part of his memory...
We are going to form a Foundation to continue his work
"to plant trees to save the lungs of the planet."
SAM MURRAY'S FUTURE FARM FOUNDATION
We are planning the Sam Murray's Future Farm Foundation...
This is a project that I will need some help with...
Sam was a giant of a man with wisdom far beyond
the wonderful 19 years we shared with him on this plane.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
SATURDAY 3 pm, APRIL 23, 2011
Sam's memorial service will be held on Saturday April 23 rd at 3:00 p.m.
at Seaside Center for Spiritual Living
at 1613 Lake Drive Encinitas California...
There is space for 800 people and our wish is to reach out to our conservation community
and share the news of Sam's movement up the spiral of life.
INTENTION
We intend to call on all of our communities, to participate in celebrating Sam by planting trees and registering the location,
and type in an online website that we intend to have created for his Foundation so that we can track his work.
Sam felt that we needed to plant millions of trees,
right away to begin to turn the tide of humanities hubris...
I sent Sam off on his next adventure...
"To Infinity and Beyond" in the immortal words of Buzz Lightyear...
with a promise that we would turn the tide of destruction against Gaia..
in his honor...

Sam Inspired the planting of
trees In Fiji, Peru, Ecuador, Pakistan, Ghana, Japan
Sam planted the seed of projects in his friends to save the future...
Sam was a passionate harvester of water on the landscape, he loved native trees, oaks, redwoods, sequoias, and many more..
He designed and planted food forests,
He was passionate about working animals, I am caring for his sheep dog, snail eating ducks, egg laying chickens, and gopher hunting cat and he had plans to raise protection dogs for his livestock vision...
Sam was an amazing grower of organic food...
He wanted to grow dry land grains
on vacant lot's and then graze the land with his sheep...

50 % of high school kids 18 are not graduating..
My Take: They are born to be 1000 or more Sam's.
Kids today want a real education. We get that education
when we garden and do the things that Sam loved to do.
