Can We Learn to Live with Each Other and the Earth?

CAN WE LEARN TO LIVE TOGETHER WITH EACH
OTHER AND THE EARTH?
The Nation's growing upset with the ten year war
in Afghanistan can be solved in my own backyard.
Many nations before have thought to go to war
in that hilly region; all went home embarrassed.
The placement of the land where the country
of Afghanistan lives is meant to break warring minds
and hearts who cannot get along.
If you want to ruin your economy go there.
It is a great place to go broke.
It is a great place to grow if you make your money
on armaments. It might be cheaper to learn how
to co-create loving arms.
I want to admit that for more than 28 years
I have been doing my own social experiement
in loving arms and have to this point pretty much
created a mess.
I live with others here in San DIego on land that
draws nature spirits, and people who seeemingly want
to relearn how to live in harmony with the beat of nature.
The problem is, most of us who come here looking for
a sanctuary from the City and its ailing aspects have the
City deep inside us. We are as a nation of broken people,
and our only solution is to fragment and imagine
we are getting along if we live in parallel universes.
I mean no harm by this. I simply mean
I have met few people in the world today
who have ever had the chance to become All of one
Piece. Unless you are all of one piece,
you cannot be One Peace.
THe world desperately needs hubs...zones
near Universities where students can actually
get a Universal Education. There was an age
of Universalist Thinkers in America, the age
that included Emerson, Thoreau, etc,
The American Transcendentalists knew the
Soul and their knew the soil too. They knew
that soul and nature connected part for part.
They lived lives rich in metaphors and saw
in nature the leaf of God doing its thing.
That is the place we need to begin.
We are being asked today to Mend the Broken Wholeness,
to come again to realize that the
Earth and the Soul are Soilmates.
Emerson said talked up the soul
in a big way. His student Thoreau
wrote a book called Walden. Walden
was his journey
into the Woodes for Students of Life.
That is what we need today, students of
life, as much as we needs masters of piece meal
knowledge that is inclined to reach
for a a toxic laden piece of meat
at the corner fast food outlet, that
take time to discover the wonders
that go hand in hand with pasture
the pasture fed lamb. For the vegan,
the battle is equally difficult today.
It was the senate itself that back in
1936 heard and then buried the
the knowledge that no matter
how many fruits and veggies you eat
today, you will starve, unless you
grow you or a farmer who loves you
takes time to build up the soil.
That was knowledge our Senators
knew in 1936: what would a truthful
legislator say today about the quality
of true Food Safety?
Truly we need a year long Campaign
to Educate Washington on Real Food Safety.
Truth we need to Eat Food; and year a new
Drumbeat, a different Drummer,
as Thoreau said.
To resolve the conflicts in the Afghan region,
we have to begin with seeing and finding
the beauty in our own minds, hearts, and souls.
To have to come together.
We have to come together
as communities, as cities, and individuals
who are unique stars in this Rock Your Soul
Opera we are living now, called life on
planet earth. Certainty it is the time
for Beet Keepers, Return!
Through growing a simple beet
we can regain our beat with nature.
Through supporting local organic farmers
and being gardeners ourselves,
we can get behind a slogan such as
"Lettuce Keep The Beet!"
The time between December and February
allows a different kind of beauty to be seen.
These months bring us a time of year
when so many of the great religions celebrate
Holy Days, and then by February we start
longing for the new sprout and we warm
each other up by asking, "Will you be my
Valentine?"
To solve the war start in your own backyard.
To solve the war, spend funds allowing for areas
of social experiment free from the normal rules
that do not hold water in an age when
what is needed most now is learning to live together
from Soul to Seed, from garden to farmers' market,
from lettuce to lettuce love together.
What we need now are places where freedom
reigns outside the norm, thousands of micro gardens
and gardeners, thousands of micro farms and farmers.
It is hear when the new spring of Food Safety
as well as Homeland Security will spring forth.
The beet has spoken.
The beet wants to live here in our own
backyards. Here resounding a new heart beat,
a new Drumbeat.

WHO WANTS THIS EXPERIMENT TO CONTINUE?
I cannot do this alone, that is clear
I do not have the skill level,
or the will to do it alone.
Shall this one third acre be a place
of dedication to planting the Seeds for
1000 years of Peace, or not?
I passed over a milestone....
I do not want to live surrendering to my own demons
or live with others who are succumbing
to their demons.
Leaving here now is like living in
a state of seize.
I am not comfortable in my own skin here
and few others are either.
We can co-created a composite picture
of what needs to exit from the world
for peace to get grounded.
The land could be fertile here
and produce, and the skill level
for living in harmony with the earth here
depends on our humanness and how much
soul we can connect with body.
I have thought for a long time that the enchantedment
of actually working in the soil could release
the soul inside us hiding.
I have been using FES, Flower Essences,
Original Quinton, StayActiv, and other Food as Medicine
Remedies to Survive This Day,
as the book cover reads, but how about
Fulfillment here?
What would a group have to take on to
enter and cultivate the Promised Land here.
The Promised Land is fighting words to some.
It is a hope and a prayer to others.
Dr. Bernard jensen taught me that most battles on earth,
when you get down to it are about black gold.
He called Balck Gold fertile soil. Others,
call Black Gold the Oil that is underneath the soil.
We could have the earth more Black Gold,
in the sense of how Dr. Bernard Jensen intended
the meaning, if we farmed in the style of
Micro-Farmer Barry Logan.
Barry ran the social experiment called
La Milpa Organica Farm for seven years.
He is not there now. Perhaps he could return
to that land under another regieme of thinking
in Washington that cared more about living in harmony
with the earth than in living in harmony with
Food Rules dictated by the FDA
and the forces of international trade
our government is now obliged to seek
harmony. I am speaking specifically about
the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the has
until now run, for the most part, under the radar
of the person in the street or mainstream media.
A new media is arising,
and New Media rights are likely common up for
discussion now with the
awakening of a new Drumbeat in San DIego.

Keep the Beet is now having influence in Washington.
I say this because an ordinary beet, grown locally
through the hands of loving farmers who care
for the people they serve grow food in harmony
with the beat of nature. The beat of nature
is in harmony with the stars in the sky
and the movement of our planets. The beat
of nature is in touch with astronomical as well
as energy unseen influences that determine
opportunities for this our that passage to flow
smoothly or hit speedbumps.
Look at the year long history of the
Food Safety Legislation in 2009 and
2010. It has been named many names,
but underneath what is said, this legislation
does what Michael R. Taylor aimed for
when he spoke before the Rep Dennis Kucinich
committee in July 2009.
