To leave the Fate of the Future of Real Food Safety to the decision making capacity of 100 men and women U.S. Senators and Food Safety Policy Makers who may never have shopped their local Farmers' Market or delighted in the the taste of butter from contented cows would be an error in judgement. To imagine that Washington legislators, who may never have delighted in leafy greens fresh picked that morning, contamination free, are suited to make the call on what we who sing "America The Beautiful" will eat tomorrow is faulty logic. Food is ours. All of ours. It is time to Chew on Food Safety. A National Conversation has begun. Let all of us, GE Lovers, Organic food Lovers, Conventional Food Growers, Sit down and enter into an honest and honoring Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food.
Let us give thanks and praise our Unity in Diversity as a nation. Let us be grateful that in this season of incoming Thanksgiving, we can take time to discuss with each other why we all need real food safety based on principles of Sound Health and Healing that have been with us since the beginning of dinner on planet earth. New Food Rules. We call for these now! Food Rules that are in harmony with the beat of nature. New agreements about what laws we ask our FDA to enforce to protect the bounty of our diverse seeds. We believe that can pave the way to economic renewal that is grounded and rooted in American ideals through turning our beat around with nature. We want to support in growing a bit of our own food. We want support for community gardens and support to co-create true earth-based Homeland Security through support for 1000's of micro-farms. Vegetables do not lie. We can live with it if some of our micro-farmers a re not regulated by national or international Food Rules and Regulations. We, who know our foods and know our farmers, have the adulthood to decide what we want to eat. We do not need our FDA to mandate rules on the foods that we want to eat and have been safely eaten since we crawled out of the sea.
We express a new bill of what is right now to participate in our own government. We ask you to chew with us, to dine with us, to see what local, fresh, organic, is all about as we create real food safety for our children and for people of the world everywhere. This is the kind of fair trade we stand up for. This is the kind of agreements we as one incorporated humanity ask for. We ask you, our honored elected representatives to eat and digest with us what is being said here.
All people, here and everywhere deserve good food as a human right.

Washington needs to be Educated on

I do not feel that are qualified to vote now
this issue without gong deeper into the subject material.

Impending Food Safety Laws need to be national conversation. This is too big of an issue to turn over for a vote one way or another into the hands of Senators, many who may not know the benefits of real food, whole, pure, natural, fresh.
Sustainable food growing practices, based on organic growing principles of honoring the soil and preserving the diversity of heirloom seeds, need to be a standard for Food Safety in America.

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
