Day 1 - 11:00 PM
Day one, reasons for fast and general info.
Date: 7/20/2010 12:59:57 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1474 times First thing, I feel obligated to put a little bit of perspective on my situation:
I am 18 years old and female, and I am just a month away from entering University. That alone worries me, I can't say how much the stress will effect my fast, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
My reasons aren't anything new. I'm undertaking a 90 day fast which I've prepared for intake-wise for a week, and emotionally prepared for for a few months. I have done a couple of smaller fasts, but I have yet to achieve the results and/or experience I would have liked.
I am fasting for not only weight loss, but to cleanse myself of whatever I've managed to suck into my body for the last 18 years. I'm looking at this process analytically, and I plan to detail the results as I see how "cleansing" will affect me. I'm rather skeptical about the cleansing part, so I hope I experience it the way many others before me have.
As of day one I've had nothing but Brita filtered water, 2L of it. I also had my usual cup of tea this morning, which I hope doesn't interfere with anything. I've bought sea salt for the electrolytes, which I'm kind of worried about, but I'm researching for something stronger (maybe with potassium) in case I need it later on.
Day one was a lengthy post, but the progressive days will be shorter, I promise.
