Draft May 11, 2010

http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/Your_Enchanted_Gardener/KEEP_the_BEET_Lives_here_27.jpg

Dear Housemates,

We are transitioning to a garden based community
where those renting here want to live in harmony with
the earth, beginning in our own backyard.

The Dome will be a shared space.
I am looking for more input now to make this work.
As I see it, the rent will be around $400 to be shared
by those who live in the house. Each person will
pay a portion of what is needed to make up for the
income needed to cover the space.

We could also have certain members using the space
on a per day basis and have a daily rate per use
that goes into the pot for income for the month.

I would like feedback on how to make this work.
I want to discuss this in house meetings.

I am also looking for commitments from each person
regarding wanting to live here in the new cycle.

There will be graduating members of the community
who live here now. I would like the graduations to
be elegant and caring.

I am seeing a field of alliance around the values
of wanting to live in community with the earth
and living together in harmony in the house.

The Field of Alliance from a recent Eco-Village workshop
gives a good basis to begin. I recognize that numbers
of us here did not have clear enough understanding
of what was being asked. It has been a great learning
experience since we last had major shifts in who was living
here. We are in a transition now to living in a community
that fulfills the needs of this time on earth. People
are being asked to learn to live together in harmony as well as live together in harmony with the earth.

Our income base and prosperity will come as we
see our kitchen as a place where we try out products and have
sponsors. Each person has gifts here to offer. We need
to step up looking at our talents and what we have to offer
others who will want to live her from nearby SDSU, PCOM,
and distant places coming here. The blogging I do offers opportunties to support great products and for the house to receive products in trade for how we use them.

We will tighten up our rental agreements and general understanding
of agreements regarding every day cleanup, and deep cleanup.
We will all be asked to have a relationship to the garden here,
even if that means just growing one beet in a pot, or watering,
or doing some kind of garden activity. The garden needs to be
managed and loved by those who live here.
We all need to come together at times for social activity and to build our relationship with the earth in sacred activity. The support of a monthly Come Root Your Dream gathering will be encouraged.

Foods in the kitchen will continue to strive by agreement to
be whole, pure, natural, fresh, organic. We will go in the direction
of being similar to the I-house, potentially offering a vegetarian gathering once a week, or biweekly.

There will likely be people gardening here from the outside
more frequently on a daily basis or weekend basis during the day time. We will likely serve the community as a CSA drop off spot and in the years to come, offer more and more of our own home grown produce.

I am seeking a team who want to learn to work together to
support the global mission of the Enchanted Garden and enter
into Cottage Industries.

Each person will need to take care of their own financial debts here.
Dreams cost money.

With support, I feel I can increase personal income to pay others
for services. Some services will continue on a trade basis. The foundation for this is helping to keep the spaces clear. I will also require help in my personal space. I accept that my overdoing and love of creation creates mess, and I need a team of support behind me.

Some rooms will continue to be rented by individuals who work
at home or have other priorities that we are supporting. The intent is for all you live here to prosper in whatever dreams they have.

Rents will likely increase, including the shared expense on the
Dome. At the same time, we can earn money together or trade for gardening and house keeping beyond what we each wish to do. We can trade services with each other or pay each other for services.

The earth is entering a time of learning to be austere and cut back
use of oil and water. We want to exemplify consious use of our resources and model sustainable living. There are no limits to what we can demonstrate her and attract in terms of trades for maintenance, landscaping, new things we might want.
There is no shortage of anything here as we co-create a field of
alliance.
All this is contingent upon sharing a field of alliance, a common shared support of what we stand for how we work together.

It has been a tremendous growth experience living with all of you during this last cycle of five years. We have had a pretty stable group of housemates. A lot of love and good feeling has been shared as well as growth from either facing or avoiding what was being asked of each of us.

 I am personally indebted
to each of you for great support and bringing the community
to where it is now. We are now in a transition period
that will lead this land to a place of service to our neighbors
and those in the local community.

We are here to serve the SDSU community, potentially the PCOM
community, and others who want this lifestyle. This lifestyle
does not preclude tight and clear boundaries regarding rents
and agreements, and agreements we each own. We will
review our agreements, and each be consciously asked
to reaffirm our commitments to live here.

We are in a privileged time on earth where we can live together
here in profound abundance in comparison to those who have
no food. We each have special gifts to offer our dear earth. We also need to value the laws that effect us and be proactive as far as incurring debts that will come upon us breaking laws. If we want to live outside the laws of our community, we need to consciously work together to change those laws. I can explain more about this in housemeetings.

We are entering now a transition time to clean up more
where we live and welcome in the abundance that comes from
living close to each other and our earth.

Your feedback and support for what is possible is
welcomed through House Meetings, and individual times
we can share with each other.

I wish you all great success in your lives and dream.
Again, I want to say it has been an honor to live with each of you.
Now is the time to consciously decide where we each
want to live, and make room for more of our dreams
to fulfill themselves here and wherever we choose to live.

May 9, 2010

I need to come into alignment with you
on the future of the
Enchanted Garden Enchanted Intentional Community.

The mess on the property here
is affecting your well being this very moment.

We live in a world of metaphor.

Dr. Bernard Jensen,
the noted wholistic thinker said it well.

"When you step on the tail of a cat,
it is the other end that screams."

William Blake got it.
He spoke in terms of a grain of sand.
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

This is the deal:
The Enchanted Garden is a name for our renewed earth
that grows one seed at a time, one dream at a time,
in your very own backyard.

The idea began in this backyard
here in an an Diego, as well as in other backyards
around the world.

This backyard, this one here, is especially meaningful.

We are livng within walking distance of SDSU,
a university that has been identified as a flagship
school for sustainability.

We are also setting a tone to be a flagship city
where our citizenry demonstrate that it is possible
to regain our beat with nature.

San Diego: The writing is on the wall.
We are earnmarked for billions of funds to become
the nations leader in Biotech.

San Diego; The writing is on the wall.
We are earnamarked to demonstrate that
cities everywhere can find a way to economically recover
if they abort irresponsible technology
and return to nature's Original Technology=NOT.

Irresponsible Technology? No,
NOT.

Responsible Technology=YES.

Where do we begin?
How do we get back on track?

We simple have to all join together
in The Great Earth Cleanup.

The land is of concern to you.
We have a 1/3 acre that is not covered,
with cement.
This is not a food desert.
We can grow food here.
This is not a slum, although
our backyard garden now looks
like a slum.

The land here, as a metaphor
for much land everywhere,
in uncared for.

We are a fire hazard.
We could easily be visited by the city
and be asked to do weed abatement,
and then be presented a bill.

We have too much stuff in our
backyard.

We are an example of the trauma
that has grabbed the American people.
We have too much. We are stuffed to the gills
with stuff. We epitomize, in part the struggle
between forces that hoard and forces that
are going insane from wanting the garden to
return to be a garden.

If we do not make a shift now, this very summer--
our lack of alignment with the inherent energy
on this property will likely deliteriously effect
your life in a bigger way.

How we are living here is dangerous.
How we are living here is as dangerous as
how the whole world is living now.

Here we have near homeless among us.
We have landowners among us.
We have a corporate buy in among us--
epitomized in all the stuff we consider
so very important to our survival here.
We do not value what we have here.
We let an avocado tree die recently.
Most living here, never even knew
we had an avocado.

We have crows here.
I was in conversation with one yesterday.
He would kaw. I would kaw back, on and one.
We have hummingbirds here that
are so tame they come back each year
to the same orange tree. They do not
mind a voyeur looking in as the babies grow.

I have a favorite plant that grows here.
It blooms one day a year. One year, it
bloomed while I was on stage reading a poem
before 400 people. This year, one of our
housmates, turned the cactus, perhaps
to get better placement for a chair,
so they too could share its sunshine.
In doing so, they knocked off the emerging bloom.

This is not a good sign.

So here we are.
We are you growing.
We are you becoming aware that we
have all sold our future, turned our lives
over to irresponsible technocrats.

Our seas now are dying.
Our forests are dying.
Our landfills are full.
Our heads have little empty room
to water plants.

The Bank of compost is the answer.
Coming here and weeding in the answer.
Moving in, taking a stand here,
is part of the answer.

Both of us, finding a way to live here--
even if you live there--is the answer.

MAY 9, 2010 UPDATE
ON THE DIALOGUE ON SCIENCE,ETHICS, an FOOD

How ethically was it the PB,
One of the world's largest and most trusted
oil extraction companies, was exempted
from having to turn in environment reports
before endangering the entire eco-system
of the Gulf region's marine food system?

How ethical is it that the US position of
food today is that there is no difference
between GMO and Organic food, and therefore
labeling GMO food would only make
more and more people question
the value of GMO Foods and their Food Safety?

What science is behind both of this
current Food Security Issues?

Join the Dialogue now.

Let us together look at the state of
science in America.

Let us look at the ethics that we
as a nation have committed to the road
of what some see as responsible technology
and other see as the death of life on the planet.

It is time to enter this dialogue.
It is time to recognize that we are banking
economically on scienctific reports that may
nave no truth to them, or do they?
We better find out now.

At the Codex Alimentarius Commission May 3-7,
the US Clearly stood up in the face of a conscensus
of the world to proclaim that we as a nation are
going down the BiO path. BIO means Biotechnology
Industry Organization path. Codex makes
us the Food Rules that most nations buy into.
If a nation disagrees, they do not get trade sanctions.
Favorable Trade sanctions are determined by
those who coming into agreement with the
Codex Alimentarius Commission, the body
run by the U.N., the multinational ag organization,
and financially supported by the world's leading
multi-national corps.

Where do you stand?
Who is serving your best interests now?

Are you giving your personal O.K.
to new Food Safety laws that will increase
the role of the FDA in our lives?
Are you sideing with the FDA and its
regulators who are at the forefront
ramming the U.S. Pro-GMO position
up the world's rear end?

Now is the time to vote the future of food
you want kids to eat.

JOIN THE DIALOGUE ON SCIENCE, ETHICS,
and FOOD

My POINT OF VIEW

Washington is now primarily Pro GMO.
This is based on science over the last twenty years
much of it approved by the FDA.
it is time to dialogue on the assumptions
we have made in Washington that are now
determining our fate both at sea and on the land.

What is the effect of chemical dispersants
we are applying in the gulf?

What technology are we using?
What basis is there for this kind of technology?
Where are the reports of its safety
for cancer and immune system impact?
