With the ability to send and receive faxes via email, our email fax services are simply, speedy, and secure.
To send a fax with our email fax services.
Step 1
Enter the address of your fax recipient in the TO: field, using our standard format of 1 + area code + number + @fax.com; ie.18005551212@fax.com
Step 2
Enter a subject, which will appear on the cover page, and note that you need only include the password in the subject field if password protection is enabled
Step 3
Enter your fax message in the body of your email
Step 4
Add any necessary attachments, which will be included in your final fax message
Step 5
Send your fax email message, which will be converted to a fax document, before delivery to your fax recipient. A confirmation email will be sent upon delivery
To receive a fax with our email fax services.
Step 1
A fax message will be sent to you as an email attachment based on your preference settings
Step 2
Fax attachments will be sent in either a PDF or TIF version, and after opening your attachments, you have the option to either save, print, or forward your fax message

How do I send and receive faxes via the web?

To securely send a fax through the Fax.com Web site simply sign in to your online account. Through our email to fax service, you may send and receive messages, maintain a contact list through your Address Book, and retain records of past and current fax messages thanks to our extensive file support.
Step 1
Sign in to your account using your username and password
Step 2
Click Send a Fax once your My Folders screen appears
Step 3
Select an existing contact from your Address Book or enter a new recipient
Step 4
Fill out your Cover Page information through the Subject and Message fields
Step 5
Select the document(s) you wish to fax and add as an attachment. Supported file formats include:
Adobe Acrobat PDF
MS Word
MS Excel
MS PowerPoint
Group 3 TIF image
HTML
Plain text
Step 6
Click Send
Step 7
Check the status of sent fax messages through the Sent Folder feature or you may choose to receive confirmation emails through your email to fax service account settings.
You may also choose to receive faxes through the Fax.com Web interface.
