On the right track
lose weight, eat great, learning to develop healthy habits
Date: 10/8/2009 2:16:04 PM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 50782 times Okay, my mind is made up. I am going to record here EVERYTHING that I eat, everything I do, my research, what I think about things and what I intend to do to get myself and my family on the road to health.
I have been participating on the forum "General Fasting" but now I just figured out how to set up my blog so that I can keep a diary of my journey here.
While I don't have a lot of time now for detail, I tried fasting the last couple of days. I realize I am too sick and too addicted to caffeine to jump right into a fast. Last night I binged and it taught me that I need to LISTEN to my body in order to help it heal. I have ignored my own inner wisdom for so many years that I can barely hear that small voice inside me any longer. I am learning to LISTEN.
I'm still off coffee. My head still hurts and I expect it to for a week or more. I'll survive. I'm going to kick the caffeine first then move on. I'm not going to worry so much about HOW MUCH food I am eating right now, but WHAT I am eating.
I'm learning more about eating RAW and I believe that is the way for me to go. While I might not do 100% raw, I want to increase my intake of good healthy raw foods so that my body can heal.
Today I have eaten:
For Breakfast: A wonderful, delicious SMOOTHIE made from bananas, frozen strawberries, pomegranate and blueberry juice and a small splash of almond milk along with flaxseed and green life. It was SOOOO GOOD!
Lunch Was: a sweet potato soup (cooked on low) with 1 onion in an organic prepackaged mushroom base and a Romaine Salad with celery, cucumber, broccoli, seaweed salad, anchovies, evvo and apple vinegar.
That's it for now.
