THE AFGHAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL HERE
It is nine days now since the AFGHAN CULTURAL FUNDRAISING FESTIVAL
at the KHYBER PASS GALLERY in Laguna Beach.
I was deeply touched by this event.
The event was the opening for the LIVE H20
LONG BEACH BELMONT SHORES
VENUE, JUNE 19, 20, 21,
the weekend of the Summer Solstice '09.
I knew many of the key leaders involved in
LIVE H20 would be there at the Afghan Cultural Festival.
I made contactwith the organizer SADIQ TAWFIQ,
a heartfelt man who has taken responsibility
for setting up schooling projects for up t0 1000
children in Afghanistan, his homeland.
We talked for the first time, the Monday
before the Thursday of the event.
A Laguna Beach businessman, Sadiq dedicates
portions of his earnings at the KHYBER PASS GALLERY
to the children.
I did not have much contact with the Afghan
people of late, other than an occasional headline
that passes my way about the difficulty of fighting over there.
Why are we fighting?
This is not an enemy.
This is one more part of ourselves
in need of love.
There was a high quality of soul at
the event Sadiq helped orchestrate.
I notice that he had many, many friends
who thought so very highly of him.
I was impressed with the quality of art
at the Khyber Pass. Some of the art here
is of museum quality. I wanted a few of the pieces.
I highly recommend making a purchase here
because I know that some of the funds go to
help the mothers and children of his homeland.
I have written another PLANT YOUR DREAM BLOG
about the AFGHAN CULTURAL FUNDRAISING FESTIVAL.

May Peace Prevail on Earth was the line
that we said at the Closing Ceremony for
LIVE H20. We said that in honor of all the countries
in our world. Each one deserves our love.
We each uplifted their flags in a lengthy ceremony.
We did not want to leave any country out.
May Peace Prevail to all of them.
May Peace Prevail on Earth.
Heal our Waters.
Heal our Oceans.
Heal our Seas.
Heal the amount of water you overuse.
Make every drop count.
Water is precious.
Return to the Beat of Nature.
Do this through going out of your way
to get a locally grown beet from a
farmer at the Farmers' Market
near you. Those in SoCal need more water now
and your love. Too much food is
going unsold at the end of many Markets.
The beet you get from the farmer.
Plant the beet in a pot.
KEEP The BEET. Grow the beet out.
You will regain your beat with nature
as you grow a simple beet.
Love from Your Enchanted Gardener
and KEEP The BEET Media Star,
The World's FIrst Talking Beet Plant.
Delightful D'Marie Mulattieri, organizer
of the LIGHT BEARERS, visits with KEEP The BEET
Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant
at the Afghan Cultural Festival.
In the foreground are
PERF GO GREEN BIODEGRADABLE BAGS.
Made out of old plastic bags that last for
hundreds of years, these biodegradable bags
decompose in two years.
