Date: 4/16/2009 9:18:09 AM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 2279 times Hi everyone. I am a 30 year old female. 5'8" and 167 lbs (after a particularily endulgent Easter weekend). I am starting my 21 day water fast today for weight loss, but also general health and to give my digestive system a break. I recently became a vegetarian and I think I am eating too many carbs. I plan to break the fast with veggies and hope that will ease me into a very clean vegetarian way of eating, with focus on whole foods. Ive never done well with carbs as they tend to make me gain weight VERY fast.
I do plan to incorporate herbal teas (to wean myself from my caffiene addiction mostly). I have been exercing as well so I will try and stay with that as energy permits. Most likely walking daily and weight lifting 3/week. I have tried to fast in the past and never made it beyond a couple days although I did 2 5 day fasts as a teen (and lost 10lbs each time).
Its particularily discouraging to see only one or two entries from months ago on some blogs titled -30 day fast and whatnot but I hope that putting it in writting here will help me in the process.
