Scene for LA MILPA ORGANICA FARM
March 21, 09. Can we recreate a scene like
this at nearby San Diego State University?
Let us all work together to set this in motion
this Earth Day '09

Chef Jem lives within walking distance of SDSU on our
1/3 acre land surrounded by canyons.
One of his joys his making compost from our organic food leftovers
and he has much to share with the nearby students of SDSU
about Nourishing Traditions and connections with the soil.
I would like to start teaching
about The SImple Joys of Planting Your Food:
One Pot+One Person=You're a Gardener
It is our wish here to provide a place where students can come
to help garden and learn some of the principles that have
held our earth together through the centuries.
We would like their youthful energies helping us invigorate
the land here.
Out of all we do now,
may we all come to see an organic garden at SDSU,
and lovely foods and fruit trees on campus. May we come
to see the day when students eat from that garden and have foods
offered on campus at a Farmers' Market that supports local, organic
farmers.
May we all be graced to play a role in providing inspiration
and taking steps toward these goals.
