Day 1 Water Fast

Today I am starting a 10 day water fast. I am no stranger to fasting, and I believe it has some really great benefits. I have never done a 10 day fast before, I have only done 5-7 day fasts so I know how challenging it will be, but I'm up for it. I have a few reasons I'm starting this water fast. First of all, I have been having serious digestive problems for the last 6 months and I think cleaning out my digestive system could help significantly. I've also put on a little extra weight. I am very healthy, exercise regularly and eat very well but even the best of us put on a couple pounds from time to time. And the biggest reason is, I just feel like my life is in a bit of a rut right now, but I will soon be starting school, getting a new job and moving so I want to kick things off by looking and feeling my best.
I've been preparing for my fast the last few days by only eating fruit, veggies and juice I squeezed myself. I'm a vegan so this wasn't too big of a deal for me, although I’m starting to miss nuts already.
Right now it is about 1:30 in the afternoon on day 1. I'm feeling great so far (but that's to be expected). I'm being sure to drink the right amounts of water and sip my water throughout the day, not gulp it down every few hours.
