So a couple days before: An intro
An introduction and ramblings...
Date: 10/29/2008 10:25:17 AM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2073 times I'm planning on starting the MC Nov 1st. I have discussed this with many friends and family members. They have asked me to keep a journal, with all the gruesome details. So if you get queasy easy, this may not be a blog for you.
About me:
I just turned 30 last month and have been researching the MC for the past year. I wanted to do it last year, but wanted to take a few days off at the beginning to see how my body reacts, and didn't have the time. I now have vacation time and I'm looking forward to it.
I work full time as a Data Analyst, and a second job, one night a week, as a server. I'm married, now for 5 yrs. I do not eat very healthy. I have many health problems, and here is a list of a few of them:
Migraines
IBS
2 back surgeries, with current back pain
painful monthly cramps with period
bursitis in my knees
dermatitis
I'm hoping that doing a cleanse will at least help with some of these. I'm hoping this will help me kick off eating healthier and changing my lifestyle to lose more wieght. I'm also hoping, though not expecting it, to help put off having another back surgery so soon. I've been having a lot of pain, and have gotten one of three epidurals, and will get the second tomorrow. Since these are shots directly into the back, I'm hoping these will not affect the cleanse.
I am pagan and planning on celebrating Samhain Friday night. It's probably not the best idea to party the night before starting the cleanse, but I'm gonna see what happens. I'm not planning on getting smashed, just a few drinks and dancing. So hopefully it will not impact me so much.
I have been having problems cutting back on coffee, so I have a feeling about Sat night/Sun morning, i'm gonna be in for a huge migraine.
Again, this will be daily, if not more, updated.
*** I had originally put a reply with the following remarks, that's what the hidden reply is by me***
Oh, I guess I should add that I'm planning on going for 14 days. If I feel good on the 14th day I will go longer.
I do have to stop by Nov 30/Dec 1st. Dec 6th we are leaving for Florida, so I need to be eating some solid foods. Of course, if it's a long fast, I may still be on soup the day we leave, but should be eating solid foods by the time we get settled in.
The challenge will be if I decide to extend it, getting through Thanksgiving. I'll just have to focus more on family and time with them, than eating with them. And make sure to have plenty of lemonade with me that day. That awhile off though, and I haven't even decided to go that long yet.
