Diakon Radish This vegetable helps to melt fat deposits and stones that can accumulate from too much diary, too little water, and foods high in oxalic acid (Spinach, beet greens, coffee, rhubarb).
Diakon also helps to eliminate stagnation from tissues throughout the body. As mentioned above the kidneys and bladder work together so we want to make sure our elimination of toxins is adequate. Diakon also helps with elimination and urination.

Daikon is listed as a Salad Vegetable on the Allowable Foods List. It's also called Chinese Radish and can be found in Asian groceries or the International section of your supermarket produce area. The diakon is long and has a beige or light cream color. Don't pick the ones with brownish spots or the ones that look kind of wilted.

Radish, Chinese -- Raphanus sativus L.1
James M. Stephens2
The Chinese radish is also known as daikon, Japanese radish, Oriental radish, and winter radish. Chinese radish originated in the Orient, as did the common spring or summer radish. Chinese radishes have extremely large roots , some weighing up to 100 pounds. Most are in the 10-20 pound class at full maturity. These big, late maturing radishes were known in Europe much earlier than the smaller kinds. Chinese radishes grown in Florida vegetable garden soils often reach 20 or more pounds.
