I can't tell you how Nutzo-Crazo I am feeling tonight.
I need a really long sleep and some inner work
to get a clue about all the things that are floating up
as a result of putting together a Photo Project for
Mark Victor Hansen.
This was suppose to be two sets of Albums
of photos from 1994, but when I started to look more
closely at those photos, I saw a couple extraordinary ones,
about five at most good ones, and the rest no big deal.
I was fretting about this project for a number of weeks
before I even looked at the photos. Mark and I have
a great relationship when we see each other face to face,
but I have rarely had any contact with him phone or letter.
Most of his emails to me are the same ones that he sends
to the other 4 million, 3 hundred thousand folks who
are interested in the work of this Master Motivator.
While fretting about how I was going to get paid
for this work, I was going through some old mail
and came upon a check he had already sent me
to do the work.
I did not feel good about putting that small number
of photos in an album for the money that he was
paying.
That was when I started to look around for creative
solution.
First I thought I might blow up a few of the best photos.
These were Black and White negatives, before the age
of digital. I felt rusty using my scanner. I have not
had good results with the quality.
The cost of converting the negatives to digitals
was $1.50 each. The higher resolution was $5.00 each.
I made three of the higher resolutions.
I have been having Technical problems with this
since I began. I generally am good at the technology
that I use, but each step of this creation has been
mind-boggling and exhausting.
My big breakthrough came last Friday
when I discovered the HP Kiock down at Staples.
We have an excellent team down at the College Grove
branch here in San Diego.
They have been very supportive.
My original idea was to convent to digital images
and then make a book using Apple's Iphoto.
I was concerned about the turnaround time.
There is a deadline involved here.
The HP Kiosk seemed a great alternative.
George Salgado, the West Coach manager for
HP was at Staples when I came in.
He was very helping. He gave me
a run through on the HP Kiosk.
One of the first things that excited me
was that the Calendar goes all the way beyond 2020!!!!!
2020 is the year that Mark and Jack have set for selling
One Billion CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL books.
Bingo!
Make a Calendar for 2020!!!
I spent a lot of hours going through all my old CHICKEN SOUP event
and other photo times with Mark. This is itself was very healing...

more tomorrow....]
