Day 1: The healing begins
Water Fasting Health Beauty

I now feel like I MUST fast. I've been reading the various water fasting forums and I have seen the success that some of those fasters have achieved from such an experience, and I want to experience the same.
I don't know what has been going on with my body but for the last several months I feel like my health has been failing. I used to be really really healthy with no health problems. However, for the last 12 months or so i've noticed a marked increase in the following:
1. Every morning when I wake up I seem to have a lot of mucus in the back of my throat;
2. My nails have become pitted and in the last week it looks like two of them are starting to lift away from the nail bed;
3. My hair has begun to thin to the point that it is starting to become noticable;
4. I think I have noticed some small psoriasis patches on my legs,
5. My eyes have been very red and dry daily and throught the entire day,
6. I have been producing more/creamy eye discharge in the mornings after I wake up and throughout the day,
7. The skin on my inner eyelids look whitish/yellow,
8. Breakouts on my face (not small surface pimples, but deep, painful ones),
9. Weight gain.
I'm scared and I want to look and feel better about myself. I plan on water fasting, and taking vitamins (thinking of crushing them into a powder and drinking them at night before bed since I am deathly afraid of losing vitamins that I need for my hair and nails etc.)
My goal is to lose as much weight as I can and to expunge any disease or infection that may be lurking in my body. I've heard that fasting attacks disease/toxins that may be trapped in the fat of the body. I have also heard that it reduces the immune system (which I think would be beneficial to me esp. if I have psoriasis, which may be the cause of my nail and hair loss problems.) Also, I hope that cutting out internal toxins and drinking a lot of water will help improve my acne problems.
Right now I feel my lowest. But I want to continue on this fast and track any changes in my symptoms.
I am also going to try and increase my exercise daily to sweat out a lot of toxins as well. I will also scrub my body daily to help exfoliate dead cells and clean away any toxins that may be released through my skin.
I started this program at 12 a.m. this morning and awoke at 5:45a.m. I did approximately 300 situps and immediately felt like I needed to throw up. My body is screaming for me to take care of it!!!
