Day 1

First experiences/sensations/impressions

8:00 pm - I just got home from work and it was a very long day. I was very tired today despite getting about 9 hours of sleep last night - I think that's my body's way of adjusting to lack of food. I actually haven't been very hungry; perhaps I will be experiencing that sensation more tomorrow. The good news is I don't have to work, so I can relax and do what I like with the day.

Today I definitely experienced what so many people do - that desire to just be eating something, despite a lack of hunger. It is definitely a difficult thing to go a whole day without chewing anything! However, I think it's been a good thing for me to recognize and accept that desire without necessarily responding to it. I have read that that can also be the best way to deal with a craving (when one is eating solid food, that is). Recognizing that a desire for something exists, accepting that it is there, and moving on to something else.

All right, I'm off for a much-needed, relaxing bath. Will check back in before bed.
