The night before . . .
Thoughts on the night before I begin my 100 day fast.

I have had great success with fasting in the past. During the past 10 years or so I have not been taking proper care of myself. This has resulted in weight gain, loss of energy and creativity, loss of self confidence, dry skin and hair, etc etc etc.
I had a hard time making the necessary changes because I just didn't feel strong enough to deny myself those instant gratifications that seemed to get me through the day.
I haven't been to this site in a few years - rediscovered it today and decided to start this blog as a way to keep myself from falling back into those self destructive habits - you know the drill - why don't I start my fast next Sunday - Monday, and on and on and on.
This is it - I spent the last week eating mainly raw foods and cleaning the junk out of the kitchen.
Luckily I am not working right now so I can spend lots of time on self-hypnosis, meditation, rebounding, swimming, yoga and pilates.
I am going to fast using mainly water with some acai and goji juices as needed. I am growing a flat of 1/2 wheatgrass and 1/2 barley grass that will be ready in 4 days or so. I also started some sprouts to juice with the grasses. Hopefully my system will be ready for the green juices when they are!
I will try to post daily before I head for bed to relate the experiences of each day. Thanks for your support everyone - I hope you will post your thoughts and suggestions here also!!!
