Children’s Parade
Locally Grown, and Organic,
Media Star KEEP THE "BEET",
a growing beet, is asking each of us to grow a beet
in a pot and eat her Beet greens. As we become gardeners,
we become more sensitive to the needs of local organic farmers
who are in a water crunch. Your Enchanted
Gardener invites us all to come drum at 6:15 PM
at the WorldBeat Center for Rally “Round the Beet!
Following the San Diego Earth Fair KEEP THE "BEET"
joins the Conscious Goods Alliance Veggie
Powered Bus on her national Tour.

in the Pan American Plaza Area
among the Alternative Energy Vehicles.
The "BEET" rolls on!
Children's Earth Parade
The Children's Earth Parade (All Species Welcome) s
tarts at 10:30 am by the Spanish Village and marches
through the Park to the Children's Area in the Pan American Plaza.
Participants are invited to dress up as endangered species,
present their favorite earth-friendly messages.

Parade begins at 10:30 am
Total marching time: 30 minutes
Staging Area
The parade will be staged on Village Place,
off Park Blvd., on the east side of Balboa Park.
Park in the lots off Village Place just after
turning off Park Blvd. Check in at the Registration Table;
volunteers will show you where to set up for the parade.
Arrival Time
Traffic around the park will start to get very busy around 9:00 am, and the parking lots will fill. A representative from each participating group must check in at the registration table by 9:00 am. Your group must be ready to march by 10:15 am.
Special Displays
If you have floats, vehices or other special equipment that will be in the parade, please email: ef08exh@earthdayweb.org.
Don't Forget…
Sun block, water for kids and animals, bags to carry personal belongings,
sanitary aids for animals, strollers,
wagons and carts for kids' projects, floats, etc.

CSA's, get to know them at the Farmers' Markets, and shop
wherever locally grown organic food is honored.
Numbers of farmers are going less food this year
because of a 30% Water Shortage.
This is the Last chance for San Diego Residents to see
Celebrated Star of the Plant World KEEP THE "BEET."
She is going on a national Tour with
the Conscious Goods Alliance Goods Veggie Powered Bus.
KEEP THE "BEET" will be offering her Beet Greens
at the bus located in the Pan American Plaza Area
Alternative Vehicle Section.
KEEP THE "BEET" was a mentor for Local San Diegan Dr. Bernard Jensen
(1908-2001) whose Centennial Celebration is June 6,7,8
at the Town & Country Convention Center.
Dr Jensen said, "Get to know your beet
so you don't have to go see your Doctor too often!"
