Day 1 - 2

A summary and weigh in of days 1 and 2.

Day 1: 174.6lbs.

My first juice consisted of:

5 fuji apples
1 carrot
1/2 - 1 cup of spinach
3 romaine lettuce leaves
few cubes of cucumber

My second juice consisted of:

2 fuji apples
2 small green pears
1 carrot
1/2 - 1 cup of spinach
4 romaine lettuce leaves
few cubes of cucumber
3 - 4 pieces of baby brocoli

I had two BM. The first was still in formation. It could've been the food from yesterday. The second BM was watery and very easy to come out. I was also gassy while on the toilet.

Today I felt down. I'm not sure if it's because mentally I knew that I wouldn't be able to eat any solid foods and that was the reason why. Or if it had to do with something/ someone else. I felt tired in the morning/ early afternoon, but I don't see why I would be considering it's only the first day and I haven't even finished it yet! But in general my mood was pretty stable, if not a little irritable in the late evening with the dogs, but I wouldn't say I was in a great mood.

My spirits increased a little when I went for a (maybe; we didn't clock it) 2 mile walk with A. I started off cold and a little tired but after a few minutes (maybe after .5 or 1.0 miles) I felt a little more energy. My stomach growled a little and other than the occasional pangs or dullness in my stomach, I haven't been too hungry but I do crave some solid (harmful and toxic) food. Also, my stomach has been gurgling quite a bit.

I know I will be tested in the coming days with all the wonderful (harmful and toxic food) that A cooks and that I will be forced to endure when C and R stay. I hope that I can be strong.


Day 2: 170.9lbs.

My first juice consisted of:

3 fuji apples
1 asian pear
1 small green pear
1 carrot
cube of cucumber
3 romaine lettuce leaves
1/2 - 1 cup spinach

My second juice consisted of:

2 fuji apples
1 asian pear
1 small green pear
1 carrot
cube of cucumber
3 romaine lettuce leaves
1/2 - 1 cup spinach
1 small tomato
3-4 pieces of broccoli

11:41: I woke up feeling better. T said that I looked refreshed. Which is weird because I got almost no sleep last night. I think I only had 4 hours of real sleep. The rest of the time I was up and just staring at the ceiling. Or dreaming about scrambled eggs, fish, and ice cream with odd flavors. But I woke up in a better mood. I think I look better too. I know that it's water weight but I feel good. I'm not too tired today but I feel lazy. So far I've only done one side of my pilates and I have no intentions of finishing the other leg and doing stomach crunches until later on in the afternoon. T says to expect to feel a crash later today and I know it may happen. R is going to bring dim sum from Sacramento to her. I think I can live without the dim sum but tonight is pasta night and I'm afraid I will succumb.

6:22: I am still in pretty high spirits. So far I've had one BM. It was dark green and sandy looking. Both juices probably equaled 28 oz. each. That's more than I had yesterday. I feel good. My stomach was growling around 3:00pm but I didn't bring water or juice because I didn't want to have to go to the bathroom while we were in the car. If anything, I don't think I'm drinking enough water. I will make sure I will tonight. I did crave the Dim sum that R bought home, but I didn't eat any. I will probably stay in my room while T makes her shrimp pasta for the guys. My mind wants the food but my body doesn't really care. I really want to do this detox well. I want to do it for Whiskey but I also want to do it for me. I hope that I can be strong. I did my leg pilates, 50 crunches, and walked one mile.

8:24: I had two more BMs. They were watery and runny and an ugly 70's yellowish. And sandy looking. It was like I was peeing... but... not. I'm happy I made it through day 2 without too much trouble. I did enjoy watching everyone eat their pasta and dimsums. I could've taken a bite, but I figured that those foods will be there for me when I'm finished with the fast. Those foods will always be there. I've been spending my time reading through juice fast forums and curezone.com and whatever else Google spews up. I'm really interested in getting more dark leafy greens into the juicer and I want to see what celery tastes like. One guy just juices pounds of spinach, celery, and carrots. He says the celery, though it has a bitter aftertaste, really keeps him hydrated. I also want to try beets though I hear that it tastes awful. I want to introduce more chlorophyll (sp?) and electrolytes into my diet. I haven't been juicing any oranges because I read that the fruit is too acidic but I notice that a bunch of people juice oranges and drink cups and cups of it. Someone said that the boredom of juicing really gets to you in the end. I hope that I don't run into that boredom. All in all, I feel good about myself. I am a little tired. I will probably head to bed soon after drinking some more water, stretching, and maybe doing some more ab work. I hope tomorrow is wonderful.
