Day 3

So I’m still not hungry. I don’t know what’s going on. I haven’t lost a single pound (once again, this isn’t about losing weight) and I haven’t been hungry at all. I’m starting to wonder if I’m sleep walking at night and making myself 4 course meals.

Actually from what I have read it is very common to not see any weight loss until about day five, but the hunger thing is kind of a surprise. Every 30 day fast blog that I have read talks about how hard the first week is but I’m really not having a hard time at all. Now I’m not saying that this whole thing is a cake walk, but I did expect a grueling detox. (knock on wood)

The temptation for all things greasy is still there, but even that has drastically subsided today. But heck it’s only day 3, I have a feeling I’m going to eat my words soon, I won’t have anything else to eat.

day 2

31 hours and counting.

What I’ve learned so far:

1. Fresh juice from anything doesn’t taste so bad. So far I’ve juiced beet, kale, cantaloupe, apple, carrot, spinach, celery and I’m sure some other things and no matter what the mix it REALLY doesn’t taste so bad.
2. The hunger isn’t the problem, it’s the temptation. I went to Target and pretty much everything in the food section looked like the best damn thing in the world.

So far everything is going great. Of course I’m only on day two, so we’ll see.

From what I have read what gets most people to stop their fast is the boredom, same thing everyday for 30 days. If anything is going to get me, it’s definitely going to be boredom. Of course that’s the challenge.

Day 1

So I decided to start my fast a day early. I wasn't gitting any sleep because I was just so overwhelmed
by what I am about to attempt. I figured it was a waste of time putting it off any longer.

I have to say C has been amazingly supportive with the whole thing. I am incredibly lucky.

It's 7:50am and I already feel like shit. I think this is because my mind is Fing with my body letting it know that it's not going to be getting any food for a LONG while.

We went to the co-op yesterday and I had one of their fresh juices; apple, spinach, beet, and something else. It was actually very good. What a relief. I haven't tryed my new juicer out, so we'll see if I'm capable of making as good of a juice as the co-op did. We went to the farmer's market yesterday and I stoked up on vegetables I haven't even seen before. My guess is that the juices that I make this week are going to suck because it's going to take me awhile to figure out what I like.

So onward on this stupid voyage. I'll try to remember to post to night to let everyone know how miserable I am.

Starting weight : 205
Attitude : freaked out
