Got to Keep Wearing Blinders Today.
Pains in both my hips, around areas where
Hip Revisions were made. I have not had pain in
these areas for a number of years.
Forcing myself to sit here.
Took time for acupuncture.
Went in with Focus still on Re: Record Keeping.
I am wanting to generate a
sensible report that retails what
is called Community Assets.
Community Assets is the account
that registers the incoming House Budget
for $80.00 per person.
This money goes for Gas and Electric + Water + Supplies.
I was in a pretty philosophical state when I left the computer
and headed out for acupuncture.
I was looking right in the face that I had been M.I.A.
--Missing in Action--on many of my records for 2007.
There is a function in Quicken that lets you download transactions
from the Bank, and marks your Completes with a (C).
That function helps me stay on top of month to month.
I was not able to access that function after 3/8/07.
Quicken has a lovely way of making it necessary to buy upgrades
of the new yearly software. They stop supporting the old versions.
There is a get around this. Union Bank and many others let you see
your transactions online, however, the baby Mac I had until late in
the Summer or Early Fall would not let me see these transactions.
I may be mistaken about that.
My next computer stress came around July when the Baby Mac
intensely crashed. I could not access my Quicken at ALL!!!
Great. I took the computer in to Crywolf. I paid $200.00 for
to get my Data Backed up.
Last Spring was all about Massive Growth.
Last Spring was like three Seasons in one.
Winter was a wash. I had diarrhea for three solid months.
Solid?
By March--the time for the Natural Product Expo West--
I was still having problems, but this Show is a natural healer for me.
My body started to improve.
The Whole Summer was about The Great Earth Cleanup around here.
I have most of that time for decluttering.
Then Fall came, I had to do the same for my Father.
There was little nurturing all summer.
Somewhere in there, likely around September, the Mac crashed again.
Unbelievably! The same thing that happened in July was happened in
September! I felt like kicking myself! I never imagined this was
possible! I was not backed up, even after the July incident.
I was again out of touch with my finances!
Apple Computer has a lovely way of making you
look at buying a new computer every three years or so.
The Old Baby Macs have a browser that will not allow you to
access your Bank Transactions Online.
By the second crash, I was ready to get a new Mac and
jump up to a New Operating System.
Backing up data and fixing that old Mac was not going to
do it.
Bill, at Crywolf, showed me how to rescue much of my data.
We could see it on the New Imac, with a 20 incn screen.
Guess what kind of a new Mac I bought, and who I bought it from?
Bill.
I could have saved about $100.00 down at the Apple Store,
but I felt comfort from BIll. I imagined that he would mentor me
on the new Imac. I basically have not seen him since,
but Apple Care helped me get oriented to the new Imac.
On the New Imac, I was able to rescue my Financial Data.
I got the new Quicken.
Oh My God! Yesterday, the New Quicken was starting to
show some structural abnormalities, but I was able to
get help from Union Bank. Esc got me out of a Print screen
that was disfunctional. I was able to back up my work.
I have intense learning disabilities around mathematical thinking.
They were coming up many times yesterday.
I looked away from the computer numbers of times,
in momentary I give up.
I kept exploring old Community Asset Reports.
None of them would give me the kind of information I wanted
to present tonight at the House Meeting.
Gratefully, I was able to create a New Kind of
Community Asset Report
COMM ASSET DETAIL 07-08
that shows me basically what I am looking for!!!!
Thank God.
It feels empowering to look back a bit
at my Computer Crisis of 07.
Somewhere in September, I slowed down on the
New Mac to finish my 06 report and get that in to
Lee Forman, my accountant dear friend.
I spent many months with Foundational Mental Disorder...
Is that a name for Computer Disease????
I never did recover my Calendars. They are still
somewhere in the dark.
When I switched to the New Mac, I stopped using
Now Up to Date and Now Contact. I lost my Address book
on Outlook Express.
My Prep for the Pacific Symposium was frightening.
I was attempting to get together a conference without
being able to access all the programs that were intutive to me,
including access of photos and photoshop.
The Pacific Symposium 07 was a breakthrough moment for me.
Many Conferences are. A whole new sense of possibility opened
for me. I went through my Birthday Month in high spirits.
This lasted through December.
M.I.A. I had no idea with all that was going on
how far I got from being on top of my records.
I looked at all the months of Community Asset Reports
yesterday. There are many mental errors in thinking.
There are still Transactions that never made it into Quicken.
There are Catagories that have to be named.
There are checks I cannot identify and catagorize.
Union Bank lets you see all checks, but there
online banking was giving me ERROR messages.
I could not see my checks.
MY INTENTION:
My Seed Dream:
I feel good about what I have in front of me today.
1. Take a shower. Give some energy to my inflamed
hips. Have confidence this slight pain will not go on.
2. Feel Good about what I accomplised yesterday,
in spite of everything.
I have a functional Supply Register.
I have a basically functional new Report
I can keep up.
I have a version of Quicken now that lets
me again download transactions from the bank
and get that (C).
What to DO Today:
3. It is 8:40 AM.
Go through and make sense of the remainder of
the months in the Bank Statements for my
Community Assets Registers.
Look over other catagories of House Supplies.
List them, and see if I can locate expenses.
Add them to the COMM ASSET DETAIL REPORT
where appropriate.
Call up Jeff Shipper of Miele Vacuums.
How much are the Vac Bags.
How many do we use per year?
Set up separate Reports for Vacuum, if necessary.
It is at $3.50 a month now.
Call Nikken. How much for a new replacement
filter on the Pimag?
Call Joanie Spear. Should I use her to order from?
Or, just get from Nikken.
Bring up a new catagory for Shower FIlters.
How much are the Shower filter systems?
I should check my closet for parts...
do not want to stop to do that.
Are there any other supplies we have been using?
I do not see the dish powder as an expense.
Continue to wear blinders today and Trust,
that all the things that are on hold will be O.K.
Get a report going for the New EG Work Fund Acccount.
Look over my notes.
Keep working on a list to see what months deposits
were not transfered into Community Assets or work fund.
Self Sooth, Leslie. Don't get too flustered by all this,
dear one. You are making good progress.
This is an amazing window of opportunity.
We are with you. This is the time to do this.
Do not feel bad about the harsh lessons of
the last months or so.
This can be a very major year of Harvest and Growth.
Get your Baskets in order. You reports are your baskets.
You have some very important new Structures in place now.
You got the Umbrella you were seeking.
That was a Biggie.
Be Grateful.
You have good housemates.
They are kind people.
Remember the inspirations you had during the night....
You were making Job's Tear necklaces with kids or..
Not that we have this House Budget for this
Community Assets, what adjustments can we make
to save on water and electicity.
We do not seem too far of line with how much we are collecting.
Fix the clitches...

O.K.
Major struggle over Toilet paper per month useage
and price. Unbelievable, Mr. Enchanted Gardener,
the Toilet Paper computizing Man.
This was really frustrating....
How much do we use per month?
Price per roll? Per box of 48?
Conflicting reports from WFM
and Seventh Generation...
Misinformation....misleads.
Finally...setting in on some figures that
work.
Called Jeff...got vacuum prices.
and also emailed Joanie Spear
about PiMag replacement cartridges.
Printed up monthly reports...for three months.
Have water only report
and Electric, gas report for
both since January 07.
Massive undertaking...
more than 30 hours labor.
to get this back to this point.
Still Bank Statements to do...
and then improving bill paying
with auto pilot...
Got to nap..
then look over notes for tonight's meeting....
There is still a gop of transactions to look at...
how many more hours to get this done???
Many five at least...
Then work budget...
Next go over rest of statements...
Look on line for transactions that need to be
identified with Union Bank.
