Testing my Faith and Future.
Awake this early morning.
It is still raining.
It rained on and off yesterday
at Special Moments.
I feel like lighting a Candle.
I met a Whale Watcher last night at the
San Diego Natural History Museum.
Her name is Holly.
She was impressed with my poetry.
She treated me with respect.
I had brought a copy of
REKINDLING OF FAITH,
my poetry book to the final
showing of the Dead Sea Scrolls
exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
The world class display has been at the museum
for six months.
Holly's eyes caught mine at the moment
I was able to enter the Dead Sea Scroll part.
She was manning the entrance, where they
hand out an electronic device that allowed
a person to receive information at each station
of the exhibit.
She spoke as if she saw me.
She was wearing white.
She later introduced me to her husband
who also came to view the final showing.
I shook his hand.
I knew it was the hand of a carpenter
but I did not say anything.
"what do you do with your hands?"
I asked. "Do you do Art?"
He said no. He said he had done construction work.
I wanted to encourage him to do Art, but I did not say anything.
i very much appreciated being received by Holly.
Others last night,
the final night, spoke as if they did not know me.
That is another story.
That, I could havie interpreted as insulting
and denigrading. but I accept that in this life
there are many who do not see me as I see myself.
This is my Best Year Ever.
What is my Soul asking of me in this moment?
What is the highest choice of my Time Today?
There is a delegation from three Nations that rarely see
each other, that rarely speak to each other face to face, I sense.
They arein town now.
They are from Russia, Jordan and Israel.
All three delegations are in San Diego now to pick up
their Holy Objects from the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit.
I understand that this may be the first time
that in a Dead Sea Scroll exhibit that their have
been objects owned by these three nations.
The Scholars have had their Way with the Dead Sea Scrolls
that were considered Holy by the Ancients.
They were considered so Holy that apparently
the Keepers who care taked them bathed many, many times a day
before working with them.
The Keepers of Qumran had Baths, extensive Baths.
Some Theories suggest the dwellers of Qumran were the Essenes.
Other Theories would say otherwise. Their are theories that
say the Essenes were scribes on what is now called
the Dead Sea Scrolls.
My own Sources say the Scribes of the Dead Sea Scroll
were the Essenes, and that the Essenes did live at Qumran.
Back to the point.
These are Holy Objects.
They were left behind to bring the World Together
from my point of view as an Essene Minister.
I am wondering if the Modern Day Keepers would be willing to have
their photo taken for posterity?
The photos my Spirit is asking me to propose
are Revolutionary. They are Evolutionary.
Holly, the Whale Watcher, told me that she felt she had never been really Tested
in her Life. She said she had never been Tested beyond anything she could handle.
I Blessed her that remain the same,
That she know she can endure whatever comes her way.
I asked her if she liked the story of Jonah,
the one who was eaten by the Whale, as the Story goes.
She said yes.
She also Volunteered she was drawn to the Story of Job,
and had an affinity for these materials.
I have personal affinity with the Story of Job.
Job was Tested.
I will ask Delle, of the Marketing Department,
if I might take a photo of the delegations from these countries.
When I was in college, there was an event called
Kent State. Four students were shot and died on campus
by our National Guard. Students all over our Country, wanted
to close down the campuses as a way of honoring,
as a way of calling attention for the need to stop the war
in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Our students at San Fernando Valley State College,
now Cal State Northridge, wanted to close the campus too.
We had meetings at the Universalist Church, but there was a lot of argument
and different points of view. We left with no direction after a late Sunday night meeting
at that church called the Onion.
I came to campus in a sport suit early the next morning.
I rarely wore a sport suit, but used to wear one when I was manager
of the Football Team at Valley College in Van Nuys.
I stood up on a table and started to give directions
in spite of the fact their had been no consensus.
A series of tables were organized.
The students who wished to close down the campus
succeeded. Many teachers were in our favor.
There were some radical elements in that protest.
I was a moderate element. I have always chosen to work
within the System. I was written up in the Los Angeles Times then
a number of times.
That semester, we were allowed to not finish some of our classes
without penalty. I had a well known poetry teacher that semester
who did not penalize me.
Another teacher on campus was named Deena Metzger.
I did not know her at the time. She was in some kind of fight for
tenure. I watched her career from a distance over the years.
She later made a statement for Woman's Rights, and represented
a Feminist point of View. She lost a breast with cancer. There is a well known
poster of her, standing naked from the waist up with her arms upraised.
I know her today, in her Elder Years. She is in a shamanic tradition
as I am. She was Tested. She is the inspiration behind the Dare Community
in Topanga Canyon.
I feel that I want to go down to the San Diego Natural History Museum
later this day, in the Daylight.
I will be Tested.
We Test ourselves.
I would like those photos today.
I can see them in my Mind's Eye.
I saw them in my Mind's Eye a few weeks ago
in a lucid dream.
I will carry my U.N. Peace Medal in my Pocket,
the one Robert Muller gave me.
It would be good to see some of these men
in charge of these Holy Scrolls face to face,
the Men/Women who I imagine feel they own them.
Perhaps in the future, I will be called to see
their faces again.
