I. Fell down, not hurt
Third Visit to the San Diego Natural History Museum today.
Brett Burner and Dr. Pam Fox Kuhlken were signing
the first Ever Comic Book on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
This Blog is a Fantasy Story
based on the Comic Book
that they were selling today
at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
I needed to get some energy out of my system
so I wrote this.

Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit.
"HOLY SCROLLS
The Origins of the Dead Sea Scrolls"
is a big success. They are going to have
a SELL OUT of this First Edition. They have
only printed 2500 copies. They are flying
off the table, signed, like hotcakes.
This Blog here is a Fantasy I wrote today, based
on the character in the Comic Book
Called Muhammed....A Mystery Man
that appears to give information
to Daniel, the boy character
in this First Ever Comic Book
written on tne Dead Sea Scrolls.

Fell down at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Went to see my friend Pam who was co-signing her new
First Ever Comic Book,
"Holy Scrolls
Te Origins of the Dead Sea Scrolls."
She told me that Brett Burner,
the Co-author, was also going to be there today.
I wanted to meet him. Brett is the publishing house
for this delightful and well done comic book.
His company is called Lampost Publishers. He
is a Presbyterian Minister as well as a writer.
I was looking at the dinasaur
on Level One, about seven feet from the signing table.
In the Comic Book, there is a drawing of this EXACT Dinasaur!
That is part of what makes this the story in the Comic Book
so delightful! It was written to help the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit
come ALIVE for Kids. Many of the kids who visit are more
interested in each other that the exhibit! OF course, what would
we expect from hormone alive Teens! Pam and Brett came to the
rescue! They wrote this wonderful Comic to get the Teens and Younger
Ones involved in the excitement of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
There was a sign near the dinasaur,
it was this:
That is when it happened....
My foot hit this round rock that was
on the floor. The Rock was a Mystery to me.
What was it doing there? Was it there just for me?
Did it have a message for me?
I was awestruck. In the Comic Book, it takes
about a Mystery Man named Mohammed, a beduin.
It turns out that this Mystery Man is the Very Spirit
of the Original Beduin who threw a rock into the Qumran
Cave. The Rock hit a Clay Pot. This is how the Dead Sea
Scrolls were discovered!
Amazingly this happened in 1947. I was born in 1947.
That was also the year the Dr. David Noel Freedman,
the Consultant on the Comic Book, and a friend of Pam
for eight years, started doing research on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Dr. Freedman is an amazing man. He is the chair at UC San Diego
in the Department of Religion. He is in his 80's but works everyday.
As I heard Pam say, all roads to the Dead Sea Scroll lead through
Dr. David Noel Freedman. She is very fond of this wonderful man,
who is her friend and mentor. Pam herself is a graduate of Bethel
Seminary and a fabulous teacher at SDSU, down the street from
the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community. She is going to be
teaching the Bible as Literature this next semester.
Back to the Rock:
I had no idea what a rock that size was doing there!
Then, I realized, there was a Rock in the story of the Comic Book!
I am stunned! Right there in the San DIego Natural History Museum.
I had discovered an artifact, an archeological find had materialized
right under my foot, just for me. I was convinced this was
the Original Rock that the Beduin had tossed into the cave.
It was a gift to me as Your Enchanted Gardener for all the hard
work I had done in my life with my Essene Studies.
Most of my studies had been undercover. They have never come to Light!
I call myself an Enchanted Gardener, even thought I am one of the last
Essene Ministers of Edmond Bordeuax Szekely, the 20th Century Essene
Prophet. I prefer to call myself Your Enchanted Gardener. Every time
I get hung up calling myself an Essene, someone wants to get into a debate.
I just do not have any fight in me about being an Essene. I know that
the word Essene comes from the word Essential. It also means Expectant,
expectant of the return of God to Earth. I am more about that than debating.
I believe that in essence, there are many Mansions in God's world.
God is Continuous Revelation. Everyone has their own Truth, so they can
learn to become friends, despite their different points of view.
Back to the Rock: I took it and placed it in my wooden bowl
that was filled with Job's Tears.
What was I doing with a a Wooden Bowl
filled with Job's Tear Seeds?
Pam and I had talked about making a presentation
at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
The Museum had asked here to create a Special Happening
to help promote the Comic Book Signings and Sales.
She was having a table outside the bookstore at
the Museum. I had met Pam the Saturday before.
She emailed me when the bookstore manager
said create an event. She said, she thought of me!
This was very exciting.
When I originally went down to the San Diego Natural History
Museum, about one month ago, I had that Vision.
I wanted to be working with kids and the Young at Heart
planting Seed Dreams and getting everybody back to Nature
through entering Plant Parenthood.
Plant Parenthood is what I teach.
Through growing a simple seed, we can remember how to grow ourselves.
Through planting a simple seed, we can learn to reconnect with nature.
Pam had emailed me.
I emailed here back and told here what I had in mind.
She thought this was a wonderful idea!
She knew from here Dead Sea Scrolls studies
that in fact the Essenes were gardeners.
They had incredible gardens at Qumran and
at all their communities. That is why many of the
spiritual teachings of Jesus are in garden metaphors.
The people of that time were very earth related.
They were not disconnected as many of us today.
Pam was excited. She wanted to have me do the
Plant Your Dream work down at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
She called me on the Friday before she was scheduled to do the
book signing that happened yesterday, December 29.
We were both very excited. I invited her over to the
Enchanted Garden Intentional Community December 28l
She lives very close to my house. She brought her notepad.
i showed her the patch of Job's Tears.
I wanted to make a Big Scroll, called the Gratitude Scroll
that would be a gift to the Museum. She liked that idea.
We were going to put the Job's Tears in little egg crates,
and also in a large pot. I was going to bring down some
organic soil from my Enchanted Garden Sponsor
Bill Tall, of City Farmers' Nursery.
I thought we were good to go.
Then Saturday morning, she called back.
She realized it would work best to run this idea
past the Bookstore Manager before we set me up down there.
Even thought it was the Bookstore Manager that had initiated the request
to do a happening, I agreed with Pam that it was a good idea
to run the idea past her first.
I was also disappointed.
My was already geared up to do an Enchanted Garden Installation
on Saturday, yesterday.
I cannot tell you how many times I have thought something Good
was going to happen, but it did not. I forget how many times
that I have thought something Good was going to Happen and it does!
That is how my own feelings sometimes work.
The place was packed.
That was when I went over to the dinasaur.
Then I had the Magical Experience down at the Museum!
Then, I sent down anyway, just to see how i might work.
That was when I found the Rock!
Yes, I found that Rock, but guess what, I had an even
more Amazing and Mystical Adventure.
You can read that in Part Two of this Story-
Semi Factual Blog.
Sometimes, Fantasy is more True that what
we imagine to be Real!
Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie
I did not hurt myself when I fell. My foot caught on the small round rock.
Here is a photo of the rock that I placed in the bowl
with the Job's Tears:
