Fasting day #1
background, reason for fasting
Date: 10/29/2007 9:04:41 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2305 times I started fasting on 10/29/2007 at 5am. I have been drinking water and had 1 cup of green tea. I currently weigh 135 lbs. Size 9. 24 years old. The reason I started this fast is because I have been eating excessive and don't really feel all that energetic. I usually work out about 3 times a week. So I am gonna try and just walk for 30 mins. 4 or 5 times a week. I work night shift 3/12hr shifts. So fasting will be quite easier for the days that I am off. But the place I work we eat non-stop. It's ridiculous. Anyway the longest I have ever fasted was for 3 days. They are tough. Well I have determination. I have broken out on my face (zits) hopefully they will disappear. Here is a little of my background. I have been a vegetarian for about 4 years now and don't miss meat at all. I just feel sorry for the little guys and just to let you know it is very unhealthy to eat meat. I also have been trying to get into having more spirituality in my life. I am currently reading a wonderful book on Tibetan Buddhism. I have never been a church going fan. Being raised with a Mormon father and a Christian step-mother it never really hit my heart. My husband is a wonderful man, he is a Muslim. I would have to say just by birth cause I never seen him doing anything relating to his religion. But back home of course he did. He has Americanized you can say. We have a loving 5 year marriage and are doing very well in our lives. I do plan on going back to college next year. Don't know if I want children yet. So that's me in a nutshell. We'll get back to the fasting subject. I hope to be letting you know what happens to my body and how my emotions are throughout the fast. I'll try to post everyday. Hope you enjoy my experiences for what they are worth.
