Maybe you should get your own blog so you can vent all your feelings about your father in your own special way. I find your descriptions of your husbands way of life and your "respect for him" as an excuse for never subscribing to your own way of living. All through this letter I hear "poor me". . .always subjugating your life to others and never having the courage to speak you own mind in all the time that has passed by. . .that's where your resentment is stemming from, not towards your father. He had the courage to take a stand, whether you understood it or not. . .at least he followed his calling and lived it truly and sincerely. You have a daughter who is Wiccan, a non practicing jewish husband, and celebrate non-christian holidays???? Where is YOUR path in between all the dead ends you call home?. . . .
I'm tired of hearing you condemn your father in everyway you can find. . .I truly would rather have compassion for you, being that you are trying so hard to piece this all together for yourself. . .I was married to a Jew also. The last thing they choose to invoke is "forgiveness". . .70 times 7. . .maybe, just maybe, there is a lesson in all of this for you! Listen to the gospel of love and see that maybe it feels better than harboring resentment for the rest of your life. Hey, we are all in this together to help each other along the way. . .Maybe your father knew something after all. The past is passed. . .let it go. Find out what YOU believe. . .underneath all these layers.
