I have had an excess of ear wax since childhood. As an adult, I use hydrogen peroxide in my ears regularly to soften the wax and then am able to flush it out with warm water. I've wondered why I get so few colds/flu than most people! My son has the same problem with ear wax, and we periodically use the hydrogen peroxide for him as well, and he, too, has very few colds/flu compared to other children his age. Now I know why!
