When fasting and exercising, it's very important to listen to your body. Speed walking is a great way to get that exercise without over-taxing your body. Just don't up it too fast - don't jump up to 5 laps without spending some time doing 3 laps, listening to your body, etc.
Without food, the difference in activity levels can bring very different results, so you need to be moderate. It'll help you fast for longer.
