This is part one...  We need to see part two as you develop you thesis and give us the next step in the process... 

I have some ideas that you may be able to use as you develop your writing...   First take notes as to any of the many things that enter your mind...  It is best to keep a small pad near by so you can jot down notes...  Them later you can sit down when you have some personal Quite time and organize your notes...  Perhaps make an outline or story line... 

 It is here and by observations that you will be able to put some short stories together...   Once you have some material then proceed to organize and refine you thoughts and writings...  This is where most all great writers begin and then move on to publishing their works...  I know you can do this I have seen the smooth style you have and the clarity of words...
