I have no idea when this message is originally from but about 7 years ago I weaned myself off of Paxil by doing the following:
I cut all of my 20mg pills in to four pieces. For about two weeks I took 3 of those pieces per day.
The next two weeks I only took 2 of those pieces. I then requested a 10 mg dose from my Dr. and I cut those up into 4 pieces and followed the same process. Just keep cutting them up and lower your dose mg by mg. And yes, the withdrawal symptoms are horrendous if you try to stop cold turkey. The worst for me were the "electrical shock" feelings going through my body. That and the rediculous mood swings.
