This perspective is very intriguing to me for a couple of reasons. 

One, I live in southwest Florida where during the winters, Floridians come alive.  During the summers, Floridians stay (as much as we can) inside where there is cool, dry air conditioning, where we are protected from the practically 24/7 rain and once a month hurricanes.  Winter, is when we can play and relax from the abundant stress of the traumatic summers.  We turn off the AC; we open our windows; we come outside; we plant gardens; we bask in the sun; we watch our children and pets cavort in the balmy air.  I think our waiting occurs in the summers.  We wait for it to end and hope we still have a home.

Two, I've always had this fear (maybe that's too strong of a word, maybe leery is a better description) of sleeping.  I figured out when I was in my early 20s that if we slept just 8 hours a night, we will have slept a third of our lives.  By the time I reach 60, I will have slept for 20 years!  That keeps me awake! LOL  To sleep 12 hours a night is an amazing concept for me to contemplate.

Maybe there's a hidden meaning in this article that I am missing.  That's highly probable.  LOL  But it caught my attention and I intend to re-read it just in case I am missing something integral to its message.  I really appreciate this article, though. It kinda woke me up!  LOL
