May I recommend a juice fast? Not only will you be able to knock off a pound a day (30 day juice fast equals approx 30 pounds GONE), but you won't be starving your body, which means you will be able to handle the fast and will probably be able to reach day 30 on it with a bit of perseverance and inspiration. And you won't be gaining the weight back so quickly either because you'll be feeding your body.
Water fasts are not for the faint hearted. (I am faint hearted!) Once your body shuts down the digestive system and goes into detox (about 3 to 4 days) the detox on a water fast is brutal. That's why you have such a difficult time staying on one.
If you really want to do a water fast, why not begin slowly, start out juicing and then slowly work your way off the juices onto pure water at the end of the fast. Say three weeks juice fasting and one week water fasting.
You want to lose weight, but you don't want to be ill or look horrible either. A juice fast will knock off the weight extremely quickly and will feed your body incredible nutrition right down to the cellular level, so that when you've lost your weight, you'll also knock years off your face and body.
Read some of the blogs on juicing for inspiration, information, tips and tricks. Good luck!!
