I came across your blog because I am looking for information on the VIBE machine. I want to take a moment to respond to this post of yours because I want to point out some dynamics I often see in situations like you describe (I'm a counselor). It may not fit your situation, but in case it does I want to share this with you.
There is a tendency for people to identify with roles for who they are. For example, there is "the competent employee" "the reliable one" "the troublemaker" and so on. Whether positive or negative, these roles always limit us spiritually. As you progress spiritually you will see these roles falling away. If you are identified with the role (especially common with the positive ones) it may present a crisis to you. But actually it is part of a healing process.
The first thing I see happening when people start to stretch beyond their usual roles is that the wind up being forced into the flip side of the role. The competent one becomes perceived by others as incompetent, and people start relating to you in such a way as to make you feel incompentent, even if your actual performance has not changed at all. The likable one suddenly has people complaining about how hard they are to get along with, etc.
See these misunderstandings as opportunities for escape. Break free from the roles that have confined you, especially the ones you like, and enter a realm of being that is truly unlimited. Namaste. Add This Message To Your CureZone Favorites!
