It really depends what you like to call success. No offense...the efforts are admirable, but I laugh at them. I call this meaningless activity of our government...a distraction. The paper company is still going to make paper...right? Our country is still based on industry, right? Do you know what paper gets used for in our country? Think receipts, wrapping up fast food, wrapping meat...now think meat industry, and do some investigating into what it takes to produce meat. Meat production requires feeding grain to animals, and this eats up a lot of land...too much. Did you know they are clearing the Amazon for grain production, first the Midwest...now the Amazon.
Do you know how paper is made? Do you know what kind of chemical waste comes from paper production? Do you know what these chemicals do to the environment?...to you? You know paper comes from clearing forests, but may not know that trees are much less effective for paper production than hemp...a crop which was conveniently outlawed for reasons of profit. Money, its the reason things happen in this country. So, do you even know how many harmful practices these industries are actually guilty of? Money is the big picture. Don't these "successes" seem a little small and trivial. Even if this were to help forests a little bit...what if demand for paper increases? And...don't forget about the demand to clear forests for grain production, in order to feed all the factory made tortured animals. Do industries seek to put themselves out of business? Perhaps in fantasy land they do. Add This Message To Your CureZone Favorites!
