Covering the face is mandatory in Islam and a tradition of the prophet's wife. I and others feel this is mandatory except when someone becomes of a non-marrying age such as myself.
The reason for the veil is for protection and for pleasing Allah. It is part of Islam and Muslims live everywhere and no one and no country has the right to deny me, you or anyone the right to cover their face, hands or feet.
It is not disrespectful to cover my face. It is extremely disrespectful of others to attack me and refuse to serve me because I am a Muslim Woman. I have been abused, attacked and even have people want to kill me in the malls because I am a Muslim. I was not covering my face in America when these things happen.
They are stupid rules and I object to anyone objecting. I suggest unless you live as a Muslim and suffer the abuse we have that you respect my right to call these stupid rules.
