Good job, I certainly understand the pressures of family, I waited till my mother left from her visit. I read that it you do not wait more than 6 days upon starting a water fast, and if your last meal is high in fat, low in carbs, and low in proteins, then your body will kick into the stage it was in just before quitting, so it would be like a continuation of your fast, thus skipping the stage where your body consumes your muscles (protein)
High in fat healthy foods could be avacodos, olives, almonds, organic yogurt ( not the low fat type)
I found this info in a forum, the site is called fasting connection.
Anyways, eating light is also suggested after breaking the fast using this approach, the doctor only recommends the last meal before starting the fast to be high in fats.
