I did experience some physical changes from the fat and water loss.
1. Generally my body was a lot less puffy. I think I retain a lot of water generally, and when you drink a lot of water you go to the bathroom a lot more and alot of the salts and excess fluids are elimitated. So I found myself needing to moisturize my hands etc. more to keep them looking hydrated.
2. The fat around the upper stomach area seemed to shrink quite a bit. I started getting that line down the middle and sides of the abs showing a bit. My lower stomach fat has always been there and is the hardest to get rid of for me so i still saw it but it was a bit smaller too!
3. My ab muscles generally felt a lot tighter (I'm not sure if this is just the feeling of hunger or the fact that my stomach was actually shrinking inside.
4. My tongue felt like it was coated. Not a very pleasant taste or look.
5. My calves and upper back muscles felt quite achy. Kind of like you've done a major work out so I massaged them a lot with a mechanical thumper massager to get blood circulating etc.
6. I felt a lot colder. So I had to wear some layers.
7. I had acid reflux. That is actually the part that I hate the most. I think if I could control that, the fast would be 100% easier.
8. I looked paler. I guess the blood wasn't flowing as much, but I generally have bad circulation anyway.
There was no saggy skin or break outs or anything like that. I just looked thinner, and better! My clothes fit me a lot better and I felt like i was really accomplishing something. I didn't care if the majority of the weight I was losing was water weight bc. water makes you look fatter and makes your clothes tighter. And when you lose it you look thinner and your clothes fit you better (same results as you want from fat loss). Mind you I am talking about excess water. I believe that the body retains all the water you need and only expells the water that it does not need. So it was all good to me.
There is nothing more motivating than seeing your scale go down 2 pounds everyday! I didn't continue my fast bc. I felt hungry and mentally I thought, "look I did 7 days and I'll be able to do it again if I need to". If I could give you one piece of advice, if you want to do a long fast (i.e. over a week) do not stop after a week and think you can eat a little and then satrt again just as easily becasue you've made it through a week already. It is SOOOOOOO hard to get back to the point of doing it again. My 7 day water fast was the first water fast I ever tried in my life and all my 2-3 day ones came after bc. i could not get back into it.
I am hopeful that this fast will work for me now, so keep reading and supporting :) Add This Message To Your CureZone Favorites!
