I've done enemas before, but when I do them on day 2+ of a water fast, nothing comes out. I did colonic hydrotherapy (which goes MUCH deeper than an enemas and last 45 minutes) and it also got almost nothing out. But then again, my diet is fruit based and I have BMs 3-4 times a day. Maybe I'll try again in a few weeks but I think the results will be the same.

So maybe you do want enemas if you have a meat based diet? I don't think they're needed on a plant based diet though, from experience.

In the books on fasting I've read, both of them say you don't need enemas either. We're talking about Bragg and Ehret, two masters of fasting. Bragg supervised an insane number of fasts, something like 70 000. He said you can do water enemas but they are unneeded.

Well, whatever works is the most important thing. I'd probably do it too if anything came out.
