I thought I'd mention one last thing. Enemas are not needed at all. And ones that are not pure water, definitely not. Salt is not desired.
If you want to hose your interiors during a fast, psyllium powder is a much better options for 1-2 days. It will get the entire bowel, not just the descending colon.
If you ever want to read a great book on fasting, try "The Miracle of Fasting" by Bragg. There are a lot of other health ideas in there.
