I know many Masons and catholic Knights of Columbus members. It is impossible for masons to be involved in any catholic organization, and masons are strictly forbidden in any part of the Vatican.
Catholics are strictly forbidden to join the Masons, but Masons will except anybody that will take the oath on the Bible.
Masons are considered to be infidels by the Vatican, because the Masons use a protestant Bible instead of a Bible sanctioned by the Vatican.

Knights of Columbus International headquarters is located in New Haven, Connecticut, where I worked for many years at the Yale Medical Center and later for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals. During that time I had many friendships with both mason and knights of columbus.
There are similarities in thaty they both are charitable organizations, but different secret signs such as the handshake and distress call etc.

Supreme Councils statutes are that one can not be both a K of C and Mason at the same time. You need to be a practical Catholic, male, in good standing with the church to be a Knight. Your not in good standing if you join masonry and are Catholic.

They were never the same society. As others have stated, K of C enrolls only practical Catholics, Freemasons accept anyone that believes in a Supreme Being.

All K of C members must carry a rosary with them at all times. It is not uncommon to see a K of C member with his hand in his coat pocket doing the rosary prayers silently.

The two organizations are as seperate as oil and water. Don't forget Pope Clement tortured and killed the masonic knights templar Jacques DeMolay and other Masonic Templars as heretics, and declared them satan worshipers. Old Pope Clement with the King of France, Phillip was trying to kill them all! But that group of Knights Templar escaped and became what you know now as Masons.
Jacques DeMolay and others wer slow roasted over a smokless fire so they would die slowly as their flesh melted away!

The Vatican considered the worship of GAOTU to be satan worship.
The masonic GAOTU as you know means "Great-Architect-Of-The-Universe".
Pope Clement tortured DeMolay enough to get the name GAOTU out of him, but DeMolay confessed to worshipping GAOTU but would not reveal what GAOTU it meant.
It seems to me if a man worshipped our God, he would not need to be tortured to proclaim it!

Order of DeMolay is an international youth fraternity for young men between the ages of 12 to 21. It is modeled after Freemasonry, and like Freemasonry, members are initiated into DeMolay through ritual and an allegorical program. DeMolay is considered an appendant body to Freemasonry; every DeMolay chapter is sponsored by a Masonic Lodge or other Masonic body. DeMolay is considered part of the family of Masonic youth groups along with Job's Daughters, and the Rainbow for Girls.

Friday the 13th with being unlucky is primarily associated with the final Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Jacques Demolay.

Some people have been known to fake being a catholic to join the K of C just to get the best and cheapest insurance in the world!!

There are many fake oaths floating around the internet about both organizations.

Part of the initiation into the K of C is when every member of the of the group slaps the initiate in the face. The initiate must show humility and turn the other cheek as Christ said to do. If the initiate shows anger, he is banned from membership.
