I'm so sorry about your dog! Animals hold such a special place in the heart. And your kids must be devastated. Of course you are moody. My weight loss has been elusive lately also. Up & down it goes. I read ausjulie's journal and she had the same problem around this time on her 30 days. I understand what you mean about the "race." It's hard to give up on a goal even when it feels (at times) that you're getting nowhere. But you are. So don't give up unless you are ready. If you are ready than 18 days is still quite an accomplishment.
