I set my goal for 20-40 days juice-fast 3 months ago, but my sub-conscious mind became filled w/ doubt... really sad, I could have been a lot healthier right now...
but I have started to fast 4-7 days & eat until I feel for it (Im a fruitarian, & this diet is hard to over-eat on, for me it is great)
the point is that it is much easier to fast if you feel that you won't over-exert yourself, & you will become healthier every day!
I suggest to everyone to just be fasting as a totally natural life-style, w/ you feel that you can manage.
the most important thing for detoxification is not an empty stomach, that only contributes to having more energy to detox!
long fasts should be taken for desperate people, people w/ a really high motivation -- like survival from cancer.
